      I have this phone for 2 months now. Absolutely love this phone. Great cameras, long battery life and high performance. The only flaw which in my opinion is a big one is super weak vibration intensity. You can miss calls and notifications even if the phone is in front of you on silent mode;

                Mehdimdi, 05 Sep 2024But battery consumption in standby mode is highI bought two units, one at launch, the other 5 months after I returned it on the first via service. Both presented the same problem: massive discharge, over 40%, at night. The unknown reason, during the day the battery behaves ok, the phone is really ok overall, but the manifestation mentioned above determined me to return the second unit after 5 days of testing.

                        It’s the best phone I ever had.

It's actually ... moreSo, if the Honor Magic6 Pro's "180 megapixel" periscope camera is actually a 45 megapixel 61mm camera due to permanent analog binning, then it should actually perform worse than the Magic5 Pro regarding distant objects. I just looked at a comparison with the Magic5 Pro from the YouTube channel Versus and indeed, the Magic5 Pro offers more detail when it comes to distant objects!

So, at 68mm, only 147 megapixel are left and if they always use 16-1 or 4-1 binning, then it behaves like a 37 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor.

                                I looked at the 68mm, 135mm and 270mm sample images at notebookcheck. It seems that even though Honor advertised the 270mm performance, they surprisingly seem to use 4-1 binning at 270mm at Iso 100. If they always use 16-1 or 4-1 binning, then it behaves basically not like a 180 megapixel Tetra²pixel sensor, but like a 45 megapixel Quad Bayer sensor. I wonder whether they also use 4-1 binning + upscaling for the full resolution photos?
                                According to notebookcheck, the 180 megapixel sensor is from Omnivision. So, it's possible that the sensor isn't able to output 180 megapixel images.

                                  "In fact, that is the 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor that Honor appears to be using unusually."
                                  Gsmarena, where's your source?
                                  Notebookcheck writes that all sensors are from Omnivision and were developed in an exclusive collaboration.
