Disappointed me as vediograpy is not at all supportive... Zoom from 6x to 2x to 1x is not smooth.. it's give a jurk in vedio ....

Nothing phones are not part of Android Enterprise Partner list, hence many corporate who uses Microsoft Intune Portal or any other work profile apps, won't allow Nothing phones to run any work apps, ie Email, Teams, Authentication apps etc

But the first part remains - would it be ok to re-test (after reinstalling the phone from scratch) the battery life?
It's astonishing how that particular device can achieve 50% more than any other on the market... Imho the sw is tweaked and not what we would get when buying it...
Hope I'm wrong and it's awesome, instant buy if that is the case.. 9h gaming...wow!!!!

Can you compare Nothing Phone (2a) (12/256) with Samsung Galaxy A55 (12/256) in terms of performance, value for money and software support? The prices of both phones are similar in my country - appx. 349 USD. Thx!!

I put a order one online, seems like a decent phone overall. Dont mind the plastic back, will use it with a case. Was waiting for Google Pixel 8a, but the rumours suggest it will get a much higher price than Pixel 7a. So the Nothing Phone 2a will be a good option.

Google uses UFS 3.1 on their 1000 USD flagship and it's not like other midrangers are far ahead. For example the Redmi Note 13 Pro uses UFS 2.2. Nothing's optimization is damn near classic Oneplus/Google level so I'd say them using UFS 2.1 is completely okay if Xiaomi can get away with UFS 2.2 on their midranger. This phone's price makes it okay, not saying it's great but a midranger can't be perfect in every sense and still cost less. Corners have to be cut to save money and they did a fine job.

No chinese phone ... moreThe xiaomi 14 pro DOES have it. Ive checked xiaomis website and it doesnt say its advertised for 1920hz pwm (its got dc dimming too). It just mentions its touch sampling rate.
Yes phones do use it, supposedly the honor 90 does it to 3840hz (im guessing that's why they get the "dc dimming" ability) to deal with the brightness issues (essentially the pwm dimming is what gives the screen the brightness steps illusion). It only kicks in (higher rate) at lower brightness levels.
A side note to GSM, you need to start including that xiaomi 14 series phones (maybe 13 aswell) record dolby vision on the front camera at 1080p/30fps, quite an important feature for people who want higher quality recording options and didnt know (chinese phones get a lot hate (my p40 pro took selfies on par with the pixel 6 pro and its almost 2 years older and uses a quad bayer 32mp cam).

Ufs 2.1 has been around longer than that, more like since around 2017 (so 7 years ago)
