Bought the A55 as an emergency replacement for an ancient Galaxy Note, and it's been fantastic. It's easy to forget this sort of phone performance was flagship not long ago. Battery life is extremely good, and micro sd slot means you don't need the bigger internal storage, just slap a 1tb in there and forget about it. If you like bigger phones, this is a good choice. Only downside is USB 2.0 which is irritating.

Hwong, 11 Oct 2024I am currently using the samsung a50 and im planning to upg... moreMy wife switched from A50 to A55. Apart from the weight I don't think there are other complaints or drawbacks, everything works better than A50. Thousand times better.

I don't see issues with that A55 here, I wouldn't trust any review on Internet blindly.. especially ones that are praising and suggesting xiaomi...my 2 cents

I'm still using A52s and tbh i find cameras on A55 a bit better than mine.. again, weight and thickness of A55 is something I can't swallow so beware of those.

Been trying to decide between A35 and A55 for a few weeks now. I've seen plenty of YT reviews and videos and a lot of them tend to push A55 coz it's supposed to be faster and have a better camera. But I've seen plenty of user reviews that are actually complaining about the camera quality (esp the front cam which is supposed to be better than that of the A35) and also overheating when gaming.

So now I'm confused... I managed to use an A35 for a couple of days before I had to return it due to issues with Samsung Account Device list and Offline Finding configuration not working. I didn't get to play around with it much so not sure about actual performance.

Not sure if I wanna go with A35 again or go for the A55 since they do have a bit of difference in price. But if the reason why I'm going with the A55 (front cam) isn't actually as good as it seemed on paper then it'll just be a waste of money. Plus, the overheating tendency is worrying coz I'm a heavy user.

Thoughts? Would be great to hear from people who've experienced both phones.

I am currently using the samsung a50 and im planning to upgrade to a a55 5g, but i have done some research, and the reviews are not pleasing, especially since it is a 400$ phonet. dont play too many games , maybe just brawlstars , and i currently have a deal for it for around 320$, should i get it or should i try some other brands such as xiaomi or vivo, thanks.(i have attachment issues to Oneui as i have notes on samsung notes

What games can be played on this device? How bad is the heating or battery life? I'm not a gamer all the time, I don't play online games, only offline games. When I play, I play a few games to play. I wrote down the games I want to play or have played.

Gta Series, Terraria, Dead Cells, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Wizard of Legend for example

Camera section should be more improved. I compared my new A55 with my previous A52. Somehow, I practically felt, my 3y-o A52 is giving more pleasing images than A55. Better dynamic range, well textured shadow parts and so on. Colour in selfie isn't so accurate. It's kinda yellowish! Especially, dynamic range of A55 is not so good according to the price segment, plus nighttime texture is missing. I hope, Samsung will push a software update to improve these things in top midrange device A55. In my opinion, camera isn't optimized well like the previous gen A series. A52 has better details than A55 in shadow parts.

I hope, Samsung will work on this serious issue faced by all A55 users.

Recently bought Samsung A55. I am not at all happy with the phone. It automatically takes back up of the photos and videos in the phone every other day, even of the photos and videos that have been deleted. The backed up number of the photos and videos keeps increasing everytime. Even after deleting the back up the same photos and videos are backed up again the next time. It happens every 6-10 days. It is a sheer waist of time and energy to keep deleting the videos and photos again and again every other day. The phone itself is not very user friendly. I will not recommend it to anyone.

Question - is this configuration available in the A55: eSIM AND nanoSIM AND microSD card slot, all for use at the same time? (eSIM - home carrier, nanoSIM - roaming carrier, microSD card from my previous phone).

Nice review! One thing, the camera of the A54 is the 50mp Sony IMX766 sensor, so that's a different camera or you people made a tiny mistake in this review. The review mentioned that the two have the same camera and the A55 main sensor is 50 MP Sony IMX906?

I bought A55 to upgrade from A30 but the screen quality is highly disappointing. A30 has great contrast soothing white levels. But A55 has very much whiteness no natural colors as compared to A30. Are there any other phones which has better AMOLED display with natural colours 🤔
I won't be buying another Samsung now.

Google can go love themselves... I'm sick and tired of 7a issues: poor battery, overheating, missing calls... The A55 sucks too: no wake screen for notifications, subpar cameras... BUT, at least, it works as a PHONE! My dad's A54 has been woking flawless since he bought it... I've said it before: Google QC is "unmatched", especially that they're made you know where...
