The, 29 May 2024Well,it looks like I did the right thing to move away from ... moreThe price/performance ratio of the Iqoo Neo 8 is so good, its almost the same with the Poco X6 Pro too.

Well im not sure what do you guys think about the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Dimensity 8300 Ultra but I'd say that both chipset is on par with each other.

Well,it looks like I did the right thing to move away from Xiaomi phones. Not because they're bad,but the amount of phones that they release with average battery life is disappointing.

I just ordered an Iqoo Neo 8 and I can't wait to own it.
Its got a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from last year and its got Android 13 because it was released last year but the price is only about 269 dollars(which is RM1267 in my country). Its a really good but underrated phone.

I think xiaomi make a mistake to up the resolution from 1080 to 1220p, I assume bad screen efficiency, and bad software optimization.

The performance findings are very similar to the Chinese reviews. The snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is still the superior processor compared to the 8s gen 3 but not a massive difference. The 8 Gen 2 is also more expensive though so most companies will favor the newer 8sgen3 processor. It's a bit disappointing that the battery life is basically only around the same as the F6 pro given the F6 has a lower resolution screen. Good phone overall but apart from the processor there isn't many other significant improvements over the Poco F5

jellydaemon, 28 May 2024Quite hilarious that many people were sh***ing about the X6... moreI know, right?! People go on and on about how the X6 Pro supposedly has a subpar battery life, poor thermals and how Snapdragon is better than Mediatek. Well, either the numbers are lying or Xiaomi is getting worse with optimisation.

At the time of this writing, I'm really struggling to see any meaningful difference between the F6 and X6 Pro that should warrant the extra price.

jellydaemon, 28 May 2024Quite hilarious that many people were sh***ing about the X6... moreI wouldn't think about F6 if i has x6 pro in my possession. It is amazing device, enjoy.

Quite hilarious that many people were sh***ing about the X6 Pro's battery life, that MediaTek CPUs are very bad and that we should wait for the F6 and this is what we get.
I don't think Xiaomi knows how to make an energy efficient OS.
Make no mistake, the specs are really good but it doesn't really feel like an upgrade from the X6 Pro and the battery seems to only get worse.
I can't help it but to feel disappointed.

I was going to buy the F6 or the F6 Pro cause I really wanted to give them a try but idk, I'm having second thoughts now. Hopefully Xiaomi will fix the battery draining issues in the F6 line but for now I'm gonna keep my X6 Pro for a while.

The camera processing seems better than the F6 Pro, but the photos don't look natural to me. Poor battery life and disappointing camera performance from day one.

custom rom is the way for this phone to shine i just hope it grows overtime really decent phone for its price my mi 9t pro is retiring with a smile

It would b... moreThe F6 itself is overall better than the X6 Pro, by bringing a better chipset, faster charging, and a higher IP rating. As for the cameras, see for yourself on the reviews, though they should be relatively close in that category. But if those three stated things are really worth the extra $100 bucks is... questionable. Depends on your priorities

Anders, 28 May 2024Garbage battery life (Xiaomi used to have good battery!!) ... moreU just wrote bad things. But phone has some many good ones, and it is great offer.

LoneOwl, 28 May 2024So Poco removed the 3.5mm jack from Poco F5 to offer worse ... moreDimensity 8300 is just little slower than sd 8s gen 3. No real usage diference.

"8s Gen 3" is the most misleading naming scheme Snapdragon could've come up with. You'd think it'd basically be a slightly less powerful 8g3 given its name, but it's really a slightly less powerful 8g2. Naming it "8s Gen 2" would've made a lot more sense

jiyen235, 28 May 2024why Xiaomi's phones are just stuck at this battery lev... moreI think it's less likely for the F# to have a better UW than the Redmi Note series. I don't think even the Fx Pro will get a better UW camera next year. It's like, at the same price point, the Poco Fx Pro is more focused on performance while the Xiaomi xT series is more focused on camera. Poco Fx/Pro are more of budget gaming phones than flagship killers imo.

Garbage battery life (Xiaomi used to have good battery!!)
Same old 8MP ultrawide with no AF. Should be 12mp AF
No 4K video for selfie camera
                                No headphone jack
                                No USB 3.2
                                No macro capability
                                No physical proximity sensor
Poor video quality - focus hunting
No 4G band 32 which is used in Europe

Hyper OS is a battery draining mess

What is Xiaomi gonna do if the 8 gen 4 is already power hungry

I think the X6 Pro offers better value with similar performance. Yes it's a mediatek and not a snapdragon but who cares these days.

As usual with MIUI 14 and MIUI 15... Sorry, HyperOS, battery optimization is nowhere to be found.
I think it is a hard phone to recommend to the average user. Power users that need performance on the budget, can't find a better phone to play.

So Poco removed the 3.5mm jack from Poco F5 to offer worse battery life in Poco F6.

Poco X6 pro with its inferior Dimensity 8300U, has better battery life than both Snapdragon Poco F6/pro.....
Same story with thermal management, which seems worse than Dimensity....
At least there is a decent improvement in screen brightness compared to F5.
Poco X6 pro with its lower price, is indeed the better value this year.

I am looking forward to Oneplus Nord 4(Ace 3V)after this review....
