Just saw this phone this night at store near me.
It is white, not light blue nor kight gray.

Dark gray is regular plastic like 40 neo black.

White has cam bump covered in leather.
Dark gray is metal.

I am using this phone for a month now. Here are the good and not good things about it according to me.

Good: slim and good looking built. IP 68 rating. Usable camera setup (no nonsense 2mp macro) good pictures in good lighting. Every camera can capture 4k footage in 30fps. Spatial audio effect in Dolby setting makes difference.nice screen with natural display setting. 68 Watt Fast charging 'Charger' included in the Plastic free Box. Decent 1 day battery life. Stereo speakers. 3 years android update and 4 years security update promise ( at last 😰)

Not so good: audio captured in video recording is too low, that sometimes it almost muted. Camera takes time to process photos. Camera has optical stabilisation but it crops the frame. I don't know exactly but digital stabilisation crops the frame but optical? Onboard Speakers have good stereo separation but sound too thin, high tones are dominant with almost no low frequency. So no fuller sound with no bass. It heats more than my last phone but it's summer in India will wait for temprature drop. NO security or other software update till date (so I am not sure about their 3 years software update promise. Motorola already topping chart in slowest software updates.)

it will be 2250 and motorola will still be using curved edge screen (multiple crying emojis and skull emoji). Curved screen in 2024 is bad, it ruins the phone

magnaroader, 12 Jun 2024You know what? 8 bit 10 bit, doesn't matter if Moto ha... moreHdr10 only works on 10bit panels. Few sites mentioned that this phone is indeed a 10bit panel, not sure why GSMArena team has failed to identify it.

There is no way that moto would ship this with an 8bit display when some of their low to mid rangers are indeed 10bit.

Pricing is totally relative. It's cheaper to make. But is it cheaper to run in comparison to the last fusion? I would love the Snapdragon plus chips to perform better around the 8gen 2/3. With 8k videos that was a real good powerhouse pH moment(Announced 2 years and 3 months later) That 888+ got smashed by the 8gen 2 and improved cooling systems equivalents to today's chips will probably be seen very soon. KEEPERS just double the specs of you're pricing it around these dollars because they'd give you more bang for your buck. More to come.

He did make a good point about Mi/One os though. Is it worth the money to not have it? Up to you. Cheers

It's basically doing what Google should have been doing globally - bringing Stock Android (or at least as close as possible to Stock) to the masses, pricing very aggressively, and also giving pretty good specs.
I don't understand all the people that want a gaming PC's power in their phone but wanting it to be $150 bucks max.

Was looking to replace my ageing Edge 20 Fusion, but given the lacklustre specs of the 50 Fusion and the price ($600 aud) I'll be waiting to see what the 60 series brings next year.

These motorolas edge 50 models are heavily overpriced in Europe. This fusion uses same chipset as Poco x6 (the non pro) and it costs like 200€ less. I just dont understand Motorolas Eu, NA pricing. No way they are selling these with those prices. Even the Samsungs A55 and A35 models are cheaper.

justasmile, 10 Jun 2024Ever heard of USB-C drives? You just quoted me that I don't like SSD degrading my charging Port, of know I know what it is if I use them. But every time I use them, it just makes me miss the SD slot even more.

It is a bit slower yes, but so much more practical.

Also to your first comment, according to the gsm Area charging test, the A55 with 25W charges about as fast as the Moto with 68W.

Between these two the Samsung is just better and I say this as a Motorola user since 2017 and one who hates Samsung.

It has a worse display that is now 8bit instead of 10 bit and the HDR 10+ support is gone. The charging is also significantly slower despite having the same wattage. The processor is a side step at best.
