The biggest letdown on this imo is the sound has 0 bass, and not loud at all esp for a 4 speaker tablet... Dolby EQ on this thing sounds terrible, id leave the sound settings stock. Heapdhone jack is great~ The main reason why i got this tablet. Almost no decent tablets are out on the market these days w/ a headphone jack. If you want a HP jack they will give u like a 4 year old SOC so this really is the only choice....

Otherwise its a plenty capable tablet. I do get thermal throttling when playing games and it doesnt run games super smoothly. It also gets hot when gaming the 7gen2s is not a great chip. Hyper OS is .... alright... theres a lot of weird ergnomic choices that Xiaomi needs to improve on imo... Battery life is good, not amazing but good.

They make profit only from the keyboard cover.

Device that would benefit from higher charge rate only has 33W charge rate. Very strange.

leledumbo, 04 Jul 2024You guys need to retest Xiaomi Pad 6 performance, I don... moreHaven't done Antutu, but Geekbench 6 is a solid 1300~ Single Core and 3400~ multi core in average. The data in their review is far, far off.

PureOS, 04 Jul 2024Even there without a charger? Then no buy.No idea where he got the idea of no charger in the box from, but this tablet enters Indonesia officially as POCO Pad, and it has 33W charger in the box. Probably he referred to unofficial channels like 3rd party sellers in marketplaces.

This is a review from one of very few Indonesian channel that will only review officially entering devices and they have direct connection with Xiaomi and all of its subbrands, including POCO:

You guys need to retest Xiaomi Pad 6 performance, I don't remember getting performance that low. AnTuTu should be in the ballpark of 750-800k and that single core Geekbench 6 is not what a Kryo 585 Prime should deliver, should be around 1000. I've reset my Pad 6 ready for sale because now I'm using 6S Pro, but my memory regarding this is masterchef knife sharp.

Killio, 04 Jul 2024Yes. they just launched it in indonesia. and yes, there... moreEven there without a charger? Then no buy.

I wonder why Xiaomi is so obsessed for removing transparency blur on their MIUI/HyperOS' midrangers devices, like do they really think that 7s Gen 2 chipset can't handle transparency blur? Even a Snapdragon 439 on Samsung A01 can handle that. Just use a non-realtime transparency blur, it will looks better than that weird gray color that they use when you scroll the Control Center.

Even though I don't like the design and the big screen, this phone is similar Symbian design like Nokia, like Nokia N97, but the size is different.

alski10, 04 Jul 2024The power users buy iPads. These android tablets are snaill... moreWell I disagree. I'm a power user, and I'd never get an iPad given how restricted their software is. I do recognize their powerful hardware, but it is like having the fastest car in the world in a speed limited highway.
My girlfriend is an illustrator and has an iPad pro. We use my Pad 6 a lot more for games and emulation since it is far easier to set up and more accessible, and the performance is still great. Hers is a glorified Wacom tablet and Netflix machine at its current state. She has admitted mine is great, she has done work on it without issues or feeling it drags behind, and costs one third of the price.

Seems like the pad6 with the 870 is still a better deal.

Pad 6 with 870 should be 20% faster cpu and 50% faster gpu. But the scores here are too low and makes it look like a bad deal.

I have recently purchased and using iPad Pro 13 inches 1 TB standard glass edition. It has been many many years since I have used iPad (2nd Gen) since I felt iPad was not true tablet for daily use. But even now, I am seeing the same issue where Apps are still being developed for iPhone and not iPad. It has a very limited use considering the money I have spent (including Magic Keyboard, which seems to be good but not great in terms of ease of use) which is $2300++ I used to have Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ which I felt more meaningful and complete in terms of features.
