I'm never relying on Samsung again, I was a faithful customer and my Zfold4 suddenly hanged, inner screen totally stopped working right after few months of warranty expiration. It became worthless although it was scratch less and in mint condition.

what a let down 2024 but battery only 4.400mah with power hungry SD8gen3? might as well buy normal phone, camera no upgrade, still small screen, no fingerprint inside & outside, only pro in AI but price increase somemore, and last two things not include adapter and slow charging. 7 years software only id*** believe their hardware can hold that long especially with small battery.

I have used the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 for 2 weeks now. The phone is a perfect mix of Hardware & AI. The key things i loved about the phone are

      1. Amazing screen
      2. Great new AI features
      3. Durability

Upgraded from a Fold 4. This one charges much slower than the Fold 4. Samsung Foldable's have hardware issues and after sales warranty claims are a headache. I received a piece with a cosmetic defect and did not get a replacement. Most likely my last Samsung Fold.

I will only consider Fold series, if the stylus is in-built like Note/Ultra series.

Oh wow..... it is faster and brighter.....

Chavis, 23 Jul 2024You say - narrow phone factor + large screen is best I sa... moreThat's exactly my point: different people have different opinions. Trouble is that people with the opinion that narrower phones are best have NOTHING but the Fold any more. Period. People who want narrow phones should also have that option. There are dozens and hundreds of wider phones available to others.

mrleft, 23 Jul 2024It doesn't have to come down to either thinness or nar... moreYou say
                        - narrow phone factor + large screen is best
                        I say
                        - normal phone factor + large screen is bestest
*As long as the phone is slim enough to be convenient to use folded.

                        Let's agree to disagree here.

Chavis, 22 Jul 2024I've used all recent foldables. Using the larger scree... moreIt doesn't have to come down to either thinness or narrowness. The Z Fold 6 is very similar in thickness to the competition and it's also the narrowest by a lot. If you just want a wider phone and don't need the bigger screen, why even buy a foldable anyway? Just buy a regular phone--there are dozens of wide ones available and nothing narrower than 70.6mm (which isn't narrow).

mrleft, 21 Jul 2024A smaller cover screen makes it possible to use one handed ... moreI've used all recent foldables. Using the larger screen on the go is a huge hassle - if you don't have the time to stop and use both of your hands for holding and navigating what is essentially a small tablet.
If the foldable is thin enough, like the Honor Magic V2, the Huawei Mate X3, or the Mix Fold 3, the external screen can have a normal aspect ratio and be convenient to use with a single hand combining both the versatility of a normal phone with the added benefit of having the larger screen at your disposal when the situation allows using it.
The Fold series compromises the cover screen usability simply because it's too thick - the Z Fold5 was almost 14mm, and the Z Fold6 is 12mm. So in this respect, the narrower screen is a convenience - true, but it's to compansate for an inconvenience - the thickness of the phone.

The point of the foldable is the flexibility to have both a small device and a larger one.

But if you want a wider one try the Pixel Fold. What I wish is that there was more variety, rather than the majority of phones being > 7.5cm wide, and those that are noticeably smaller usually being downgraded (though as most phones are over-specced for most purposes the latter is less important than it used to be).
