The phone has flaws, but it is the only one without a punch hole, with a 3.5mm jack, and no camera bump. When my Poco F2 Pro finally dies, I guess I will have no choice but to buy this phone or its successor.

Like always Snapdragon didnt disappoint in throttling the crap out of any device... as its nothing better than overclocking old chips put few useless "AI" features that do nothing(like, really they do nothing as they are just some words on paper) and sell it as new...
After all everyone want to spend more money on phone with "latest" chip that after 30min of using act like Snapdragon 885 from 2018 and after another 30min act like Snapdragon 778

RedMagic is still the best in its class. Don't underestimate a brand because its "Chinese". Note that OnePlus, Huawei, Nothing brand and Xiaomi are chinese brands too but can rival that of Samsung or Apple. Only CCP needs to go but these brands are all competitive lol

I've used several RedMagic devices starting from the 5G, 6SPro, 8Pro and now I have my 9Pro. If you're looking for a solid well rounded Gaming phone that you can use as a daily driver, Go for RedMagic. Yes, this phones are built like a tank and has very good battery life.
Speakers are super crisp and loud with that 1.xx CC cavity size magnets inside, Cam is good for daily captures. Oh, I enjoyed the Console mode too, where you can play your games upscaled up to 2K resolution on a widescreen TV/monitor. Pass on ROG phones, I've had several dead motherboard issues after months of usage with my old ROG 3Strix, 5S and 6D, so expensive yet so frail Asus.

I've been using RedMagic devices since there RM7SPro series and now I have the RM9Pro. I can say that it is very well built with super premium materials, and very good thermals.
GSMArena might be using a preproduction software RM9SPro as other reviews from Tech Youtubers like TechSpurt, ETAPrime, TechTablets, etc are showing it should've 90+% stability on stress tests.
I can say that the UDC selfie cam have really improved. Battery life is also been good with my 9Pro.
I don't really like ROG phones as I had 3S, 5 and 6D all got screen and board burnt issues.

IDK why Samsung and Apple can't give us 3.5mm jack, internal fan cooling, 6500mAh battery all in one package at the pricepoint they're selling. This Redmagic phone has all that at even lower pricing. At this point the only justification that Sammy and the fruit has is feature gatekeeping just to have slightly higher "feature" just enough for the next generation to be "worth it".

I really like the look, its refreshing like a "Nothing phones" but ruined by a gaming moniker heavily compromising the ingress protection via Fan tunnel and a horrible camera quality.

Software are somehow okay, not so good. You can imagine a phone cam get itself up to almost 40°C with just watching YouTube, yes, only ROG 7. 8 is worse, the airtrigger doesn't even function when the heat got up to 39°C, sometimes 40°C depending on the emotion of the phone. And 1 big issue, is the Window, when you opened an application on a Window, there you can tap anything, but not everything, like you long press to copy a word, or paste something, you'll get nothing, usually goes into other selections. For RedMagic pretty much matching all my needs, only complain is, why the speaker so bad

RedMagic is still the best jam packed gaming phone as always. My RM9Pro not only has a super tanky battery, but it also has improved OIS powered cameras compared to before.
ROG Phones are prone to motherboard issues and software bricks though on updates. Not also too price friendly like RedMagic does with even a RedMagic Console mode not found on ROG ones.

Asus ROG phones are prone to motherboard issues and software bricks. RedMagic phones have console mode, has uninterrupted UDC screen, 1.6CC speakers , builtin fan, sweatproof triggers and may more perks that ROG phones lol
