Oppo gives 120, 150 or 240W to realme but never to own phones.
Very suspicious.
In the end, they know it is bad for battery

    Eric20, 27 Jul 2024The camera island is ugly. The photos from the LYT-600 ... moreLyt-600=imx882? Yes they plan to have whole sensor lineup with lytia branding in few years.

      Fabrizio, 27 Jul 2024This looks like a great midranger overall, and the battery ... more7+ gen 3 has gimped core count in comparison with 8s gen 3 with higher clock frequency to compensate. It also has no hardware av1 decoding and a weaker modem in comparison with 8s gen 3

        The camera island is ugly.

        The photos from the LYT-600 are also terrible. Feels like Sony just rebranded some of the older IMX sensors.

            In 'The Competition' section, the 8mp+2mp auxiliary cameras on the Oneplus 12R are considered "a potent camera setup" lol

              This looks like a great midranger overall, and the battery has great endurance, which is something I tend to prioritize when buying a new phone. However...

              There's something funky going on with the gpu on this chip, judging by the Wild Life Stress Test (Stability). Let's recap:

              - The Realme GT 6T has a stability score of just 54.8% (even though the review praises its "great sustained performance);
              - The OnePlus Nord 4 has a score of 53.4% (same cpu, which leads me to believe it's a problem in this specific chip);
              - The Poco F6 has a score of 77.6% (which has a chip that's a bit more powerful - although this comes at the cost of higher temps, up to 50C vs 43C on the GT 6T)
              - The Poco F5 has a score of 85.8% (granted, it's an older generation so it's quite a bit weaker)

              Now, the only explanation I can think about for this is the manufacturers are purposely limiting the gpu performance in order to control temperature (and possibly prolong battery life). You can clearly see that after 10 minutes, performance drops down to almost half. Then, when the temps are in check again, the chip ramps up again for a minute or so, then goes down again. To me, this looks like aggressive temperature control limiting performance (the F6 is more stable at the cost of higher temps).

              That's fine and all, but I'm a bit worried about gaming on this phone now. Suppose you start playing a game with High settings at 60fps; you play for one hour; according to the graph (and someone please correct me if I'm using wrong logic), from the moment you start playing to about 10 minutes after, performance drops substantially - almost 50%!

              I can't say for certain that after 10min you would go from seeing 60 to 30fps, because things are not that linear, but it does worry me a bit because the other comparison phones have way better stability, even the Poco F6. I will have to check some videos to see if the problem translates into the same stability issues when gaming.

                rizki1, 27 Jul 2024I also respect that they are starting to get serious about ... moreyes! IR blasters are cool and fun!

                Also, I don't think LTPO matters much to these companies. That's because I think the main reason to use LTPO is for battery. Look at the battery numbers of this phone lol it beats so many other phones. The only use cases for LTPO I can think of are better/more efficient AOD and the other is VRR, dunno if only phones with LTPO can do VRR, if they even can, but I've never seen tearing or micro stutters on phones and like larger frame drops will always show up as a stutter, VRR can't help that.

                  No better phone for 550$ at the moment

                  The pocos have better performance but way worse battery

                  Moto Edge 50 pro and Samsungs are more premium but performance sucks

                  Only contender is OnePlus 12R

                    Anonymous, 27 Jul 2024It also has ltpo panel unlike nord 4YIKES. The Nord 4 is a nice enough phone but wow the GT 6T completely overshadows it.

One other useful feature is the IR blaster which is also starting to become more and more common on Chinese phones. Previously only Xiaomi still provided this from low end to flagship.

                      Thank you, the comments below reminded me again because this phone is the cheapest with LTPO.

                          I don't think anyone's gonna praise Realme for this or anything but I really respect the fact that they put Victus 2 on this midranger. Nearly no one's gonna bat an eye but it's quite essential nowadays I'd say, as we hold on to phones longer we want better protection.

                          Looks like a pretty decent flagship killer and tho I love the Nord 4's design, this phone seems to be better for the most part. Granted, Realme has never had the best software support but idk man, this phone even has a 32 mp selfie cam compared to the Nord's 16 mp one and also supports 4k recording. Kinda weird that the Nord doesn't have all this.
