1300-1400 is not THAT different. Unless you watch it side by side you won't be able to tell the difference. Brightness is logarithmic, after 1000 nits the differences between each hundred nits is small. You'd need to see 200-250 nit differences to feel the differences.

This one is the same phone but slightly better.

There is no real point into upgrading for the 13pro+ but for ones with a really old phone, the higher screen brightness is a nice Bonus for people, if the phone is priced the same.

Dude get a grip, they are encouraging excessive consumerism with this. Jiyen has a valid point they should have supported the 12PP more rather than mindlessly releasing the same phone over and over again, you said it yourself it's a second 12PP, why would someone buy this than the OG 12PP?

But really, most of the difference goess for the 500 nit higher screen brightness.

Krims, 02 Aug 2024Why ?what even is the point of this phone? It'd have been better to just put out 1 more year of updates for the 12 Pro+. Same cameras and same chip, still no HDR and an increase in battery size that didn't do much. So yeah.

Why did all midranger always suffer in low light video recording? Jitter every single move, drop framerate, tell me what midranger can record video with no jitter when low light

It looks like wild life tests were an exception since they're pretty close in this test. As for the CPU, I said that they're pretty close to each other except for the GPU, and that includes the cpu

Buying a smartphone as a fashion statement is absurd.

Plastic frame, cheap materials, make it feel less than midrange. 5 years ago budget devices feel more premium cos even made with metal frame.
