Most of it is copy-pasted from the original phone 2a review. This is very common on GSMArena and while it can come across as lazy, at times, I feel like you can't blame them when companies launch new phones like there's no tomorrow.

This year in particular, there's this new trend of launching follow-up phones within months, with little to no upgrades and an increased price tag. Just a sad, industry-wide cashgrab trend.

    Look at the low light camera samples, especially the town hall square, smile, read the assessment, laugh.

      Great review. I hope you don't get demotivated by the comments. weirdly enough you have gotten a very toxic community but it's ok. best wishes.

        Good battery score but how much is it in old system ? Hows the standby drain ? Still not used to the new scoring system. Is there other sites that gives battery standby rating ?

          Why did Nothing think it was a good idea to have a 50MP photo output from the selfie by default? Why wouldn't you just bin down the pixels like any other sane OEM (a.k.a anyone not named Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo (though they don't do this with 50MP selfie cameras) or OnePlus), especially when you're dealing with a Quad Bayer sensor?

            They don't want categorise smartphones into flagship, upper mid range, mid range , budget in their rating system

            So their measure of quality will leave some implications of some phones ratings coming across as contrived

            They acknowledge the difference in review paragraphs for cameras saying "for it's class" but have not make effort in demonstrating quality judgement through the rating system under the context of classes

            They could change the colours of the stars to represent this but they'll likely never take this feedback

                4.2 for this crap? Either GSMArena is too generous or has been bought by Nothing itself.

                  Funny how GSMArena rated phone 2a plus 4.2 star's just like honor 200 pro and realms gt 6 as if phone 2a is equle to them smh...

                      GeekBench 6, Multi-core results - Nothing CMF Phone 1 with Dimensity 7300 has 2920 score and Nothing Phone (2a) Plus with Dimensity 7350 Pro has 2648. Do you know why?

                        So 7350 benchmark score increase over 7200 is much lesser than the claimed +10% cpu and +30% gpu, only +2% single core, +6% multicore and +20% gpu. Gpu is only +15% if you take the 7200 in the redmi.

                                Strawhat, 08 Aug 2024Because higher than usual display and bad hyperOS?Yeahh alll newer xiaomi phones sucks at battery life except the base Xiaomi 14 is good.... it's weird that all xiaomi phones with lesser battery mAh have better endurance than 5k mah and above. Example mix fold 3, Xiaomi 14, 13, civi series, mix flip(less than 5k mAh yet perform better than their 5k mAh phones)

                                  Gsmarena is weird. They did a full on review about two exactly similar phone but rushed out the hmd skyline .

                                        Anonymous, 08 Aug 2024Xiaomi with same SoC would not even be 12h. HyperOS is to blame here. Also since it is Mediatek, we can't make custom ROMs easily. It is a loose-loose situation for Xiaomi users.
