Xiaomi 14 better choice

I personally think this vanilla Pixel 9 is the phone to buy in 2024/25. It also cost less than the Pro and XL. The most important thing is its not slippery as the Pro and XL according to this review. The specs are not much different to Pro and XL. It also has a better battery life. And I am already in awe of the Obsidian color of the vanilla Pixel 9. The Obsidian on Pro and XL sucks, and looks dull due to the black Googe logo and camera bar.

Just get back here because I m so annoyed even without benchmark they could have put some description about performance out of the all the reviews this site has done this is the worst biased one

There's nothing new or good about the processor.

Silly excuse of not doing benchmarking when its available on other sites and youtubes…surely google paid for review…network connectivity is still worse in my region as reviewed locally here in India

curious how these hardwares handle the last year of android update, android 21? they might disable everything and allow few apps to run and make phone call ... LOL

"Plus it's a foldable and foldables are cool."
Are they though? They still have way too many compromises.

"Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with benchmark scores at this time as the benchmark apps we use were reported as "incompatible" on the Play Store and sideloading them got us results which were way to low (lower than Pixel 8 Pro, for instance) to be considered as representative. Let's hope the limitations are lifted later down the line and we are able to offer you proper benchmark scores."

Been following GSMA for the last 12 years. You guys are getting worse than APPLE.

                        Same camera as last year.
                        No LTPO.
                        No vapor chamber cooling.
Almost all of the AI features are gimmicks and basically useless, a big number of them are not even available to most users in most markets. Not worth paying for something you can't use.
                        Still 128GB as base version...
Only new thing is that they supposedly improved network connectivity and battery life barely from last year.
900 Euro base price is absolutely not worth it.
Pixel 8 launched at 800 Euro last year, and within a month (by December) was down to 700. By mid January it was 650 Euro.
Save your money and skip the vanilla 9 (or wait for discounts if you reeeaaally want one).

It actually looks better in the case, with the camera bar almost flush.

All major reviewers/companies like this one are comprised these days as they take money and/or benefits from the different brands. The bigger they are the worse it is. Brands use companies like this one as marketing tools

I take it they're not going to update these with test scores, ever. Sure happened with some "prerelease ROM" phones before.

I can't believe that flagships have such tiny batteries. S24 with 4000mah, P9 4700mah. For the money you pay the battery should be flagship and at least 5000mah. The Nothing phone 2 has 4700 mah and spanks them all.

If Google are using their own chip to reduce costs, why are the pixels, even base models with least storage expensive and increasing in price every time

Why would you not hold off on publishing the review until the performance benchmarks could be tested? It's not like you haven't stalled with other reviews. Seems disingenuous to me. Put the review out early, give a solid score, keep Google happy.
