Seeing as google, samsung even xiaomi are now pushing iphone prices as much as it pains me to say think I'm going back to ios.. 4.6 for a compact with great battery life is unreal

The most important improvement in this year's iPhones is the battery life. Everything else is meh and gimmicky including the camera button. The iOS and Apple SOC seems to be able to do a lot on very little power. Still, the small batteries will probably degrade more quickly.

there's no excitement for this phone, only one or two new specs than the previous. what a waste of money, Samsung is way better than this...

There were many reviews available earlier from other sources for the iphones.. Many reviews come immediately after launch. Look at the Xiaomi 14t pro which was closely followed by the 14t. Obviously this is under instruction from the manufacturer. In general , the less popular or smaller brands will always get less or slower coverage as priority is always going to be given to the reviews and brabds that make more money for the company. It's normal

I do not understand "samsungs have disqualified them selfs they are in another tier" is it worse, better, smaller?

I pretty much only fave upper-end midrangers and flagships. Couldn't really say exactly for what reason. At first, when I made my account here, I faved smartphones that stood out from the crowd for their cameras, and well, pretty much most flagships have excellent camera setups. But now, I just sort of continue the tradition, even if it happens for one of the flagships/midrangers I fave to suck in camera performance.

the iphone 16 pro has a slightly larger and slightly higher res screen. the 20-ish mah battery difference is not enough to give it an advantage against an iphone 16 even if both had 120 hz displays but the 16 has a 60 hz display.
The largest difference can be seen with web browsing imo, which is affected by refresh rate, and the video playback difference comes down to the additional size and higher res.
