Z, 25 Oct 2024Good thing about it is the massive updates support! Great ... moreThe updates are useless if the phone lags. In a year or two it will be worse. But I guess they have to brag about something!

Everything is the same, even the chip performance, wich has the same cores as Helio G99 on A15, but with added 5G modem. If you have a decent 4G network, you don't need 5G, not really...

I don't know why anyone would pick this instead of nothing phone 2a for example.. unless one really wants one ui, but then again Samsung strips A1x and A2x series severely from features, so beware you aren't getting A3x/A5x experience at all

MarOMG, 25 Oct 2024Good thing about this phone is thst Galaxy A15 5G 8/256 GB ... moreThe 5G edition is not available in my country for the budget phones, but in all cases it is better to go for the A15 for the headphone jack for me

Good thing about this phone is thst Galaxy A15 5G 8/256 GB is now cheaper than base A16 4/128. If it has to be Samsung, go for A15 5G and save a few euros for more RAM and ROM, 3,5 mm jack, smaller size and better battery life.

What's the point of 6 years of updates, when the phone is annoyingly slow even on release date ? It will be even more useless in a year or two.

What are Samsung thinking? They clearly have no respect for their customers because they are happy to give them ancient tech at a high price. Especially when the Xiaomi and others offer better specs across the board for the same price.

No wonder Samsung are losing market share. They have idiots making the decisions....

Battery life got bad because it was exynos version not mediatek.

Zero, 24 Oct 2024Only the 8GB RAM version of the A16 is worthy, skip the 4GB oneThe 8gb version is also laggy when new. Source: My own experience with S21 Exynos with 8gb RAM on Oneui 6.1

I am not one of such people, anything beyond 73mm width is a no go for me.

Price will drop, A15 wasn't 135 euro at launch like it is now in my country.

Though A15 even the 5G one is a better deal until then, plus it has 3.5mm.

                            Great job Samsung!

Entry phones like A1X and A0X are no longer appealing. I would rather get a old gen flagship. S21 series. S22+ is basically like under 300 USD. That will last longer than this thing.

I always encourage to get used tech. I would rather have a iPad Air 5 than a Mini 7. Older? Yes but its better in almost every department. Speed, cameras, battery, screen.

                                Very absurd dual SoC here.
Some get A78 while other A76.
                                Extremely offensive.

The extra update commitment is great, but ooooof 4GB RAM just basically renders it almost irrelevant right out of the gate.

Samsung uses eco packaging and soy ink since the Galaxy S2, why even mention it at this point. It's not a plus for the majority of people anyway.

                                      Samsung finally did it.
An A1X device with no 3.5mm jack

Their products literally get halved just a few months after launch but they still get people to buy them at launch.
