Anonymous, 18 Nov 2024So both iQOO and Realme have downgraded their periscope tel... moreAs if the price hike comes from the irrelevant cameras. The real reason the price went up was the 8 Elite costing almost 20% more than the 8 Gen 3. Naturally, these costs are always passed on to the customer.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2024So both iQOO and Realme have downgraded their periscope tel... moreIQOO dropped the periscope but Realme didn't. The Realme GT7 pro has a periscope and actually they increased the focal length of their periscope from 65mm on the gt5 pro to 73mm on the gt7 pro so it will be slightly better for longer zoom ranges. They did reduce the sensor size but you have to also consider that this is still a much bigger and better 3x than you have on the Xiaomi 14 ultra and Samsung s24 ultra for example. Meanwhile it's using the same sensor as the 3x on the Find x8 and Find x8 pro, Oneplus 13, Vivo x200 and Vivo x200 pro mini (Vivo uses the older traditional periscope structure though so the design of the periscope is different but it's using the same sensor)

IQOO didn't increase the price btw. The IQOO13 is the same price as the IQOO12 in China which is the only country in which it has been launched so far.

So both iQOO and Realme have downgraded their periscope telephoto to a regular one, yet increased the overall price of their phones 🤢🤮
That's a hard skip for me. I will get the upcoming Z70U.

A phone with this price and still a dumb 8MP ultrawide? What a joke!

Kinda disappointing considering the fact that sony Xperia 1 VI posted similar endurance scores while having a 1500mah lesser battery. Was expecting a 20+hr of endurance from the battery size. Guessing 8 elite is really power hun.gry and in.efficient.

Also kinda surprised that the site didnt address the recent realme GT 7 pro ben.ch.mark all.ega.tions

Not good .. chopped chipset it has only dual band wifi antena and no 6ghz.. like its predecessor .. downgrading phones and selling higher prices as people are dumb and buying.. The GT 5 240W is 10x better
