Why I feel that this phone deserves better score than 4.3?

GSMArena, I would love an ultimate comparison between this, the Oneplus 13, Xiaomi 15 pro/Ultra, Vivo X200 Pro/Ultra, Oppo Find X8 Pro and finally the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This will be huge and I’m really forward to it.

      Thank you

It is kinda disappointing that the Indian variant will have a smaller battery

To be honest this review of Realme GT 7 is clearly spewing venom on Realme and GT 7. Of course some points have been reluctantly agreed to, more because the reviewer did not have much choice against the reality. Obviously Realme has not catered to the reviewer's wishes. But all in all we readers have to get some opinions so we are thankful for the write-up even though the bias is evident.

Gsmarena same as always. A phone without a jack yet we get zero information from the review about supported bluetooth codecs.

If you skipped everything else and went straight to benchmarks, say hi 👋

well done Realme.. First phone with 8 Elite very nice phone for the price. Look how far they have come making this phone before they were famous for making phones rivaling the Redmi Note and now they are able to make this to rival $1000+ flagships.

Battery life is really good. On all the Chinese rankings from basically every major reviewer it tops the battery rankings too often by a significant margin. The display must be quite efficient. The second brightest display on a flagship too in both manual and automatic brightness is pretty impressive especially considering the price. The screen is better than many more expensive Chinese flagships. The other good things are the impressive 3x periscope camera and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the IP68 and IP69 ratings. Of course the obvious weaknesses are the ultrawide and selfie cameras and the video stabilisation but for the price it's a good offering overall. It's actually topping the rankings in terms of actual confirmed purchaser ratings in China among all the newly released flagships so it's been fairly well received (although Realme is a really small brand in China with virtually no offline presence).

Pumpino, 18 Nov 2024Yeah, it's got a huge battery, but 222g? That's o... moreTo be fair, 222g is relatively light considering how big the battery is. The S24U has a traditional 5000mAh battery and that weighs 232g. Find X7 Ultra is also 5000mAh and weighs 221g. X100 Ultra has a 5500 (Si/C at that) battery and weighs 229g. I'm all for bigger batteries but I'd personally rather see Si/C batteries allow for lighter/thinner 5000mAh phones.

justasmile, 18 Nov 2024The ultrawide camera being only 8MP is a turnoff. They even... moreThey didn't remove the periscope. This has the same 3x periscope as on the find x8 and find x8 pro. It's a new design for the periscope that takes up less space that is also being used on the find x8 series and Oneplus 13. It's clearly stated on Realme's website that it is a periscope. This is actually one of the strengths of the phone as more expensive phones like the IQOO 13 or even more expensive still Xiaomi 15 don't have a periscope and use far inferior sensors for their telephotos. Of course Realme has made other sacrificies with the cameras in terms of the ultrawide and selfie camera. You can't get everything though at this price so some compromises have to be made

                                  Does it have USB 3.2?

Yes fun underwater filming....... I would rather have a good zoom lens or ultrawide lens!!

Impressive battery life! SD 8 Elite is a real winner it seems - efficient during everyday tasks, and really powerful when needed (at the cost of higher power consumption of course).

Too bad they nerfed the battery in the Indian version, and compromised one of the real advantages this phone had going for it.

The ultrawide camera being only 8MP is a turnoff. They even removed the periscope too. Why not replace the periscope with a better ultrawide camera, preferably a 12MP one?
