LostFantasist, 05 Dec 2024Yeah, saw some sample videos from YouTubers already, and th... moreiqoo 12 cameras were punching above its league. this time they downgraded sensors in favor of a brighter screen, bigger battery with new si/c anodes and higher IP rating, iqoo 13 is much more of gaming phone than a camera phone like iqoo 12 was.
oneplus 13 has much better cameras for sure, but at its price point it's also worth checking vivo x200 and oppo find x8.

But after seeing the photos from this review, the camera system has now completely bummed me out. I'll wait for the OnePlus 13 review. It seems to have better cameras, but would likely be more expensive than this phone.

When it debuted in December last year, the iQOO 12 (review) received one of our best review scores, and deservedly so. We were impressed by the phone’s build quality, impressive display, capable cameras, and, above all, blazing-fast performance. iQOO delivered all this at an extremely compelling price point. In fact, for the longest time, it was the most affordable handset that shipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (the most powerful flagship chipset in the premium segment till a month back). This kind of value proposition is rare to find in the premium segment but iQOO somehow pulled it off.

- IP68
- 1440p display with higher peak brightness
- 4K front camera recording
- Slightly better speakers
- USB 3.2
- Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
- Bigger 6150mAh battery
- Longer software support

Will not buy from this vendor again and will not buy another Xiaomi phone again. I will buy from another vendor who I have good experience with when returning a phone.

I got the China imported version of this phone running OriginOS and the screen has very bad color saturation. Everything looks dull even with the "bright" color profile. There is also a very strong yellow tone. Hopefully its just software problem
