You get the odd weird annoying quark but it's worth it when you run emulators ect. The phone is definitely not for everyone but I've been pushing mine to the max.

All these amazing phone performance goes to waste where one could buy current x86 gaming handhelds with more titles and emulation available for less, and more powerful due to higher TDP

.The cooling solution severely underperforms compared to previous generations.
.The software is still plagued by awkward English translations from Chinese.
.Only 1 Android OS update promised.
.No IP-rated ingress protection.
LMAO another chinese thrash phone.

Surely as the drivers for 8Elite improves, so do the RM10Pro once the first update will be released.

They kept the already super low price for all the high specs and technology it packs lol. Its just $649 for a Snapdragon 8Elite plus the UDC tech, R3 dedicated gaming chip(co-engineered with Qualcomm), the cooling fan+triggers and the silicon carbon battery + GaN charger out of the box. With Winlator even the previous RM9Pro series can now run PC games at 30-70fps (game dependent) and can be downloaded for free too.
The ROG Phone 9Pro even costs double the price of this at $1000+ and offers nothing new except the new chipset jeez.

I definitely prefer their old battery test more.

you all delusional, 04 Dec 2024Wow really, the price is the same as of all top tier phones... moreThe phone is going to start at $649 on the official website, it's always more expensive on Amazon for some reason, maybe they just want to make more money off customers that don't particularly follow their company

Curious about the performance of this device, I don't think it's possible to know how it truly performs by these testes alone.
I suspect that ZTE may have made the software in a way that intentionally allows the CPU to throttle prioritising clocks and power to the GPU. With a CPU as powerful as this one, as long as there are enough threads preventing it from generation heat trying to keep its clock high may help the GPU deliver better performance.

On screen video playback time has reduced by lot for this phone, in comparison to Red magic 9 pro and Red magic 9s pro, even though battery capacity has increased by 500MAH...... I think latest chipset from snapdragon is not very power efficient, that might be the reason, that most OEM's increased battery capacity of their phones this year....

The phone is a midranger with powerfull cpu, there are a lot of those for less money. The pictures are on a mid level at best. Software is a joke.

Well, this is the perfect phone for me. Giant squared screen, no holes or pills, beautyfull design, great battery life, decent cameras... Did I mention that it is beautyfull? And for a price of some boring upper midranger. I don't care about perfect cameraphone, or 15 years of OS upgrade, couse I'm happy if my phone survives mor than 2 years. It's just beautyfull and big...

zodiacfml, 04 Dec 2024Monster performance but also monster price and games that c... moreFor those of us (PC gamers) it is becoming a very big problem, to be able to have 'affordability' even on AMD APUs (X86).
Many handheld console manufacturers, propose hallucinating prices, that is beyond any possible objective and logical justification.
1000 bags minimum, for 'mobile gaming'.
(Some manufacturers like OneX even go as high as 1600 bags)
Honestly and as a Serious and Professional Gamer, I am fed up with all this wild marketing garbage, which ALWAYS falls on the pockets of the consumer.
A SteamDeck (ultra-optimized and from the Wonderful OS) and fear passes (or a Switch 2, if you really are an inexhaustible N nostalgic).
RedMagic, has started down the same path as other smartphone manufacturers: the 'woke policy', which sees a device focused in pure performance, turn into a regular playstore gaming device.
How sad.
(Owner of a RedMagic 9 Pro, the latest devive to boast the term: Performance)

Monster performance but also monster price and games that can't support 120fps. This is overkill for most games. At this price, I could buy an x86 handheld that is as powerful and can function as a complete PC.

Eduard33, 04 Dec 2024Yeah that's what I'm saying, don't just look... morei dont trust chinese ones, or let me phrase it better, i don't think chinese battery tests are relevant for global users as chinese apps are optimized for chinese phones and the chinese software is tailor made for those chinese apps, so you get the best of both worlds.
A perfect example of this would be Xiaomi phones, they're consistently in the upper echelon of battery phones in Chinese tests but in global variants they're either BAD or average at best.
and yeah i agree, gsm's one doesn't match others all the time, but honestly nearly all battery tests are vastly different to each other.

Some other chinese reviewers have also tested it and it's basically the leader when it comes to battery life.
I just used those other examples to showcase that gsm tests don't match what other reviewers get and what the real life usage would probably look.

RushGamer, 04 Dec 2024RedMagic have a winner here. Regarding the stability, it wi... moreThere is no 'pre-release software' here. This was done voluntarily because the SOC X Elite CANNOT handle all its power (4 Ghz) and as a result, the CPU is VERY neutered on the Ghz side! They started with the RedMagic 9S Pro series, which proved to be less stable than the 'smooth' Pro series and now that. As a GAMER (NOT 'casual gamer') IT IS THE CPU I am interested in! As a GAMER, I don't care about temperatures (I play with my RedMagic 9 Pro at 70 degrees, but STABLE and Performing) At the moment the ONLY trump card of the RM10 is only the price. AND I DON'T SPEND 650 bags, just because an ordinary guy comes along and says: 'hei-bro-trust-me'! It's MY money, and if I HAVE to spend, THEN; I DON'T WANT TO BE A BETA TESTER! I JUST WANT CLARITY!
