jiyen235, 04 Dec 2024yeah whilst there is some discrepancy there, don't for... moreYeah that's what I'm saying, don't just look at this and think that it's a downgrade compared to the 9 Pro. Some other chinese reviewers have also tested it and it's basically the leader when it comes to battery life.
I just used those other examples to showcase that gsm tests don't match what other reviewers get and what the real life usage would probably look.

RushGamer, 04 Dec 2024RedMagic have a winner here. Regarding the stability, it wi... moreThere is no 'pre-release software' here. This was done voluntarily because the SOC X Elite CANNOT handle all its power (4 Ghz) and as a result, the CPU is VERY neutered on the Ghz side! They started with the RedMagic 9S Pro series, which proved to be less stable than the 'smooth' Pro series and now that. As a GAMER (NOT 'casual gamer') IT IS THE CPU I am interested in! As a GAMER, I don't care about temperatures (I play with my RedMagic 9 Pro at 70 degrees, but STABLE and Performing) At the moment the ONLY trump card of the RM10 is only the price. AND I DON'T SPEND 650 bags, just because an ordinary guy comes along and says: 'hei-bro-trust-me'! It's MY money, and if I HAVE to spend, THEN; I DON'T WANT TO BE A BETA TESTER! I JUST WANT CLARITY!

Its about time you guys removed cpu throttling test from your benchmark list. Its obvious nobody is tuning the phone to score well in it.

BMHater12, 03 Dec 2024Nope, they need to start revamping their Android skin like ... moreThey revamped it like a year ago and have significantly improved it, though at first it was more of a 2 steps forward one step backward thing. Overall the software has massively improved in just over a year, but they still need to do a bit of catching up. I use a rm8.

Eduard33, 04 Dec 2024Watch TechNick's or the TechChap's comparisons th... moreyeah whilst there is some discrepancy there, don't forget that gsmarena and others have different methodologies. For example, brightness can be different, Gsmarena actually uses airplane mode and the speakers are set at 15% so yeah, some phones will be louder and some others will be quieter and finally, location is on.
I'm not gonna say gsm's one is perfect but all im saying is it's just another test to help you in your decision, that's all. You believe whatever you want, my friend, i just think that gsm's tests are fine for the most part with some being so weird that i wonder some odd setting is switched on such as the performance mode or something idk.
Anyways, remember that iPhones are always great for the first few months but get nuked within a year, if you want to see an example of this watch TechNick's 16 Pro Max battery drain test, see how the 15 Pro Max performs, and then look at his previous battery drain test with the X100 Ultra. See how the phone performed exceptionally at one point and then got nuked as soon as the new phone came. So I do believe iPhones have great battery life, but it only lasts for a year.

jiyen235, 04 Dec 2024different tests man, and you can't trust percentages, ... moreWatch TechNick's or the TechChap's comparisons then. Go to the video playback comparisons and you'll see that the iPhones (16 pro max and 15 pro max) are neck and neck with a lot of Android phones, especially the S24U which is its biggest rival. Doesn't matter what app they use, Youtube, Tiktok, Reels, VLC, the biggest difference between them during those tests is just 1% at most, but again they have up to a 50% advantage in gsm tests.
Either the software gsm uses is just not optimized or is just completely irrelevant because it doesn't translate to real world usage.

KAVELAB, 04 Dec 2024I mean, it is a nice upgrade over the 9/9S Pro, but I have ... more"should" "would" "hopefully" ... oem doesn'r listen to yoi in anyway. they do what is right for them at the first place !

Eduard33, 04 Dec 2024I'm not just talking about the overall result but also... moredifferent tests man, and you can't trust percentages, they're changing all the time/different on different phones. The longer a test, the more realistic it is going to be.
I do understand your skepticism but again, Phonebuff is just one of many battery testers. The coolest ones for me are TechNick and The Tech Chap, their videos reflect my real life use cases quite well. And Phonebuff is just weird man, their videos have been inconsistent for a year or two with some verdicts.

I mean, it is a nice upgrade over the 9/9S Pro, but I have expected more. The battery life is good, no question, but I feel like it should be better for a 7000+ mah battery. Also, the speakers are still tinny, the vibration motor still rather weak and the software is still somewhat buggy. Besides, for the hardware that ZTE uses here, the camera should perform way better than it actually does.

jiyen235, 04 Dec 2024i believe in their testing, i just think there's somet... moreI'm not just talking about the overall result but also how they do across different apps. During PhoneBuff's test the Oppo and the iPhone dropped by the same exact percentage while gsmarena shows a 7h advantage for the iPhone. Same happens with the s24U and some other phones so it has to be an issue with the software they're using to test it.

Just a quick comment on battery life: Since this is a dedicated/specialized gaming phone, it makes a lot of sense to set the battery test chart to 100% gaming and then compare the numbers with other phones.
I just did that and this phone literally obliterates the competition with a 20-30% higher battery life compared with any other device, including other gaming phones and even the iPhone 16 Pro max.
OK, this should not be surprisimg, given the gargantuan 7000 mAh battery size, but still it shows that nubia took it very seriously when it comes to gaming stamina - so kudos to them.
That being said, as someone who is not interested in gaming at all, this is obviously not a phone that I am interested in, but people who like to have long gaming sessions, this pohone will certainly make a differece.

RedMagic have a winner here. Regarding the stability, it will improve soon once RedMagic releases updates for the RM10. RM9pro also started like this during the pre-release software but immediately got 95% CPU stability rate after it was updated the following weeks.
Did you guys even see the GPU stability which is super good at 90+%. And also not to mention the awesome UDC selfie cam improvement which now captures decent selfies. Within the next iteration of their UDC tech, it might be as good as the frontcam of other brands out there. And starting at only $649 without the price hikes like other brands are touting lol, RedMagic has a winner here absolutely.

Eduard33, 03 Dec 2024I just don't believe these numbers. Just don't be... morei believe in their testing, i just think there's something wrong, for example this might be due to the pre-production/pre-release software/China-only software.
Additionally, Phonebuff uses a variety of tests INCLUDING standby, those matter a lot. Different stuff uses battery differently. And Lover Of Tech does stuff on data so it's not a fair comparison. This test is just one continuous one, so makes sense why numbers will be different.
Anyways, just use these results as a ballpark. Don't trust only ONE battery test, try to check a handful of them and see if you find any trends. I trust Tom The Tech Chap's battery tests the most, my S22 Ultra has similar or worse battery life than the iPhone 13 of a relative of mine and his test was close enough back in the day. Also, keep in mind that updates nuke batteries!! So that can shift stuff a lot, sadly.
