Whatsoever premium phone Tecno releases in India, people will certainly not buy it, as they want reliability over innovation. This is the reason why some people even now try to avoid POCO X series.

Dimensity 8k or Snapdragon 7 series are more than enough for this kind of form factor. You don't need a flagship chipset on a device that not-too-focused at performance and camera, after all. Plus, you can keep the price lower too.
That's for flip phones. For foldables, it's a bit different because no matter how low you priced it, it still has a "flagship pricing" which means you should get the latest flagship offering. That's why for me putting an older Dimensity 8k chipset on this flip is a good idea, while putting an older Dimensity 9k chipset on their foldables is a bad idea.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024It has the performance of the phones from 2019 😴If you want a foldable that isn't $800-1300 US you're going to have to make some sacrifices. Not everyone needs flagship performance and they want compact size.... (from someone besides Unihertz. fix your cameras and get some updates guys)
