My s23 has more GIPS than this, ahah

impinas, 14 Jan 2025The photos look like oil paintings, they lack detail. They look great, wdym?

Have you ever seen an oil painting? It's one of the most detailed and life-like painting mediums.

The photos look like oil paintings, they lack detail.

The cameras are gonna stay the same so you'll see the OP 13 being compared to the S25U again instead of its price competitor the S25+

It's not even been released yet, on what basis you feel it is going to be inferior.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2025Why is fm radio, HDMI, audio jack, as card slot obsolete? ... moreThe only useful feature out of these is the headphone jack, but it was removed to make phones more water resistant, and now we have wireless earphones anyways, those are just as good if not better than wired ones

Scamsunghater, 10 Jan 2025 1 : Most games nowadays support 120fps, what is this ? 20... moreWhy is fm radio, HDMI, audio jack, as card slot obsolete?
Those are perfectly useful and essential features even in 2025.
You still ride a bike or a car even though it was invented over 100 years ago...

Fm radio is very important in case of blackout you can still listen to directions by the government even without internet!
HDMI offers crystal clear video and audio signal.
Audio jack offers the best sound and there is no equal replacement to it.
And sd card reader is a great way to expand your storage on the fly.

All these old features work perfectly fine in the year 2025 so why remove them deliberately?
Audio jack is only removed to push people to use the useless cloud storage services.
Same thing for the other features. They are only removed door economic reasons to rip off the customer even more.
Less features, more price kind of deal.

psinferno, 10 Jan 2025I think this comment feature on gsmarena looks like 20 year... moreIt's strange, yes. If you have the opportunity to see and touch it - go and do it. I think you will fall in love at first sight. And OxygenOS for me and many others is the most perfect and smooth-running operating system on phones.
I stopped watching reviews of this type. Better look for videos with people who express their opinion after a month or more of real use of the phone. 3 and a half years ago I had to buy a new phone. I didn't want it to be specialized in a certain area, but to be able to do everything at, if not top level, at least quite close to top - the best price/quality/software ratio. Not the best for photos, but weak in other areas. Or the best for games, but taking bad photos. Then I chose 1+ 10 pro. Here in the comments they were simply ruining the quality of its photos, as well as in various reviews elsewhere. But I came across a video where a guy spent 30 minutes explaining how to best use Hasselbad's Master Mode and various other settings when shooting with this phone, and showed me various photos he took with different settings. They looked amazing. I bought this phone and I don't regret it for a moment. And I'm saying this as someone who was a die-hard Xiaomi fan before this phone. But I've start to value the money I spend and want to get the best (as much as possible) for every cent I spend.

Scamsunghater, 10 Jan 2025Well you're paying the same price for 1 : Better... moreIf your buying one of these phones you obviously want performance and that performance starts getting worse after just 2 years, I start looking at replacement generally after 2-3 years and I'd say 4 years max so anything above that is overkill. Only phone I would keep over 4 years would be an ultra phone to get my moneys worth and they're basically bricks at the minute. I miss the slim oneplus 8 really bad.. It was so light too with premium materials. Xiaomi 12tpro I'm using is top heavy and plastic

Greg Helvetique, 08 Jan 2025Same price as Samsung/Google but not going to 7 years softw... moreWell you're paying the same price for

                            1 : Better/Same quality cameras

2 : Better software (OOS 15 is the best software skin)

                            3 : Better battery life

                            4 : Better cooling system

                            5 : Better chip/Same chip

And for all that, basically all you're sacrificing is 2 years of software support, no one even keeps their phone for more than 3 years at this point, why are we acting like we care about software support?

2 : 50 mp is miles better than 12mp, and it's not even mp that matters most, it's sensor size, also 12mp is indeed not better in low light, that's just not true lmao

I think this comment feature on gsmarena looks like 20 years ago, it's so bad, but that's not why I'm here.
The OP13 review here is like the lowest ranking of any of the OP13 reviews out there. It the phone really that bad (i know the score is not bad, but still way behind a S24U) or do they just don't like OP? Here in Switzerland we don't have access to a lot of the chinese brands officially unless you import them or a big store imports them. And the OP13 would be available unlike the Vivos for example.
We also have eSim available in the OP13, only the power brick is missing.
So it gsmarena here wrong or is it really not a top flagship phone?

sdkk, 09 Jan 2025Different people, different flavors, different preferences.... moreyeah i got you man. The Oneplus 12 last year was imo the most complete phone for the money, 90% of people would've been happy with that, the OP 13 continues that trend.
