They made a huge deal about the efficiency of the Xiaomi 15 pro screen on launch but didn't about the 15. It is lower resolution but they do state the same material I think. Still there definitely seems to be a gap in screen efficiency with the Xiaomi 15. I don't see much reason to go for the pro though even in China. The Xiaomi 15 main camera is the same apart from aperture and performs just as well in reviews and even better for the 2x crop. Also the 15 pro has digital zoom up to 5x which is a big drawback for portraits.

Ig that could explain why the 15 Pro performs so well in battery tests. But does the Xiaomi 15 use the same display material or is it the old one? cus there's a definite gap between it and the Pros despite using a large battery for its size.

Actually they already have a phone with the SD card reader, jack, FM radio, and that super amazing IPS LCD tech you're looking for, it's the Redmi 14C 5G. Go buy that one instead, tool.

Been waiting for the global release since October 2024! Bought 512gb model and planning to sell tablet that comes included. After discounts (100), trade-in (239) and selling tablet (approx 200) total price will come to 460£ (UK)... IMO, that's a fantastic price!!

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2025Am i the only one who likes this xiaomi design tbhI like the design. I had the phone for 6 days and the in-hand feel is great. The camera in the upper corner is much better for holding the phone as it doesn't really get in the way of your grip. For a phone this size, if the camera module was one of the round circular ones in the middle like on the Vivo x200 pro mini it might interfere with your grip (your hand would typically rest on or over the camera module). Therefore, I think this design is very good from a practical point of view. It's far more comfortable to hold for example than the Xiaomi 15 ultra at least for me. With the 15 ultra if I hold it normally my hand rests against the camera bump or over it (at least without a case). I don't have that problem with the regular Xiaomi 15

This is a great relatively compact phone. The only real downside is if you compare to last year there are only really two minor upgrades, the battery size and the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Cameras are almost the same. Still it is one of the best if not the best 6.3" phones around. The Vivo x200 pro mini is a bit better for cameras especially zoom but that isn't globally available and has other minor comprimises e.g. usb 2.0. Oppo will release a 6.3" phone too soon so will be interesting to see how that compares (although it will likely be China only). IMO i think this is the best relatively compact phone that is globally available (apart from the in the US). I don't fully agree with gsmarena's assessment of the video quality though. I found it a bit oversharpened and oversaturated which was particularly noticeable when shooting videos of people.

                                Cons:

                                OLED display

                                Pros:
                                3 nm chipset
                                Unlockable bootloader
                                Rootable
                                Custom ROM support

Hmm nice pros but I'm not fully convinced.
This model is a no buy for me personally based on the cons but ill give Xiaomi another chance. I'm confident that they will soon release a phone with all the essential features that I require.

                                Go Xiaomi go!

The 14T Pro has a smaller 5000mAh battery and a much more powerful chip, yet it got 12:32h, which is very similar to the X7 Pro.

Hopefully Xiaomi can get their stuff together and improve the power management on their budget and mid-range options too, not just their flagships.

If you mean the zoom range, it seems that it was digitally cropped to 3.2 on the 14, as some people mentioned that the camera app switches to telephoto at x2.6 and not x3.2.

No I'm just getting the 15 Pro instead of this regular 6.36 inch trash
