Might upgrade to the (3a) Pro once it goes on sale

IMO, they should really clarify which frame in question is the metal one

rohitmishra, 05 Mar 2025These could have been one single phone. Why two?!To give buyers options ? Is it bad if I don't wanna spend another $100 for extra cam ? Weird whining for something you're not gonna buy

Pats, 05 Mar 2025Jerry Rig Everything said the frame was plastic, which is true 🫣Yup the metal frame they mean is inside the plastic, the phones chassis, its just a thin sheet of metal, even cheap poco has it.

I prefer samsung's software but the phone itself is a bit expensive and lacks some stuff.

These phones really interest me and they're getting good reviews scores. However when you look at Trustpilot reviews of the Nothing brand, there are a lot of people giving 1 star stating the quality is poor and customer service is lacking when trying to claim on warranty. This is putting me off, I wish some of the official reviews would address these negative issues so we can make an informed decision on whether it is wise buying one of these phones.

kamild, 05 Mar 2025I was thinking about this phone when it was rumored it'... moreYeah I think Nothing phone 1 still holds up. 2 was good but way overpriced then 2a 3a were just duds, not even a big upgrade from 1.
Cmf is okay due to good price.

I was thinking about this phone when it was rumored it'd come with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Hell, I'm currently using a 778G+ phone and even a regular 7 Gen 3 would be an alright upgrade, but 7s Gen 3? Meh.

for Nothing 3a it is a good alternative to Poco X7, Realme 14 Pro and the like.. 2x telephoto is not bad and this is the cheapest phone with telephoto. Really want this phone to be sold in Indonesia.

For what it's worth, MKHB just posted a video review of these two phones and lauded their very refined and distinctive build quality and design, which he stated make the 3(a)/Pro look and feel like proper 1000 USD-flagship devices. He also mentioned the extremely smooth UI experience and very well implemented animations.
So, the 3(a) / Pro may indeed be two candidates in the well-crowded field of mid-tier devices/"flagship killers" that offer a lot of usability and a distinctive design at an affordable price. I can't wait for the full review here to see how theyy compare to established contenders from Xiaomi, Samsung etc in a similar price range.

YoloBS, 05 Mar 2025I find this Glyph Interface ugly and gimmick . A normal led... moreThese glyphs are not for me, either. However, as someone who used to adore Science fiction shows such as Star Trek, I can see that these design clues may actually appeal to a certain group of users and maybe represent a decisive factor for actually purchasing such a device.

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2025Just change the brand name. This current name is set up for... moreInitially, I thought the same. However, we have to admit that this name sets the brand actually apart from the rest and sparks interest more than any other imaginable name. Secondly, the name "nothing" may appeal to the target customer group of "geeks" / "nerds".
This would go in line with the geeky design, materials used (translucent back), and the nerdy "glyphs". These phones are apparently not designed for the average Joe but for a younger, tech-savvy, slightly geeky and playful auditorium.
