    just use snapdragon already, the custom chip project is a massive failure. 4 generations and no improvement in performance is quite literally insanity

      Well what is the best choice for 400-450€ for a Phone with max 6,3" display? Even a older Phone or Second Hand. Main priorities are a good battery and good to very good cameras. I dont care about procesor, Games and other things Like that.

        Seems a decent phone to me with a large battery and nice screen and capable performance.Mind in the UK the trade in values are fantastic,only cost me 60 pounds by trading in my iPhone 13 pro max 128gb,it's a bit battered and needs a battery change so may as well get rid of it,might have made 250 after charges on eBay.Plus Google gave me 75 credit so I can use that against some buds A series when they are reduced again to 80.Lets look at the positives,it's got a fantastic bright screen,high quality camera,long battery life, excellent sustained performance and seven years of updates.

                    The camera is consistently bad, only close shots are somewhat good. And thickest bezel award goes to Pixel 9a

                      2x performance is bad, it's not clear whether they actually use the full resolution for 2x images. The exif data indicates that they use analog binning at 2x (because previous Pixel phones stated 48mm instead of 24mm as the field of view when no binning was used).

The 9a has the same chip, a bigger battery, and cameras that are better than any other OEM. Why would anyone buy the 9/Pro/XL if the bezels were slim?

                                    But yeah metal wouldve been the best.

                                      I would not say that $499 is a relatively modest amount.

                                      And you have to pay $30 for a camera case on top of that if you want it from them! Obviously Google gave a good sense of humour.

                                      Id get the Poco X7 pro and spend the money saved on coke and hookers in Vegas.

                                        k0vasz, 12 Apr 2025hate this trend where they put huge, ugly bezels on midrang... moreIt's more that they'll put less RnD in to designing the body than a trend to go "let's have bezels on cheaper phones".

                                        Plus apple has pushed the market to having flat screened phones so unfortunately ALL phones will now have noticeable bezels including £1000+ ones
