Finally, someone manages to last longer than the iPhone 16 Plus in web browsing. All it took was an extra 2300 mAh—in other words, 50% greater battery capacity for 13% more battery life.

From a technological standpoint, I'm disappointed that Android phone makers still aren't remotely close to competing with Apple's efficiency in web browsing, which is the main thing I use my phone for.

i've bad experience with oppo and realme their ui is pathetic and its not as user friendly and there are sooooo many bloatwares. gt7 is one of their premium phones will there be any bloatwares and ads in the ui

PureOS, 27 May 20253 android updates and 4 security patches... So it's 3."The Realme GT 7 Pro is running Android 15, augmented by a layer of Realme UI 6.0, an alter ego of the Oppo's Color OS. The GT 7 will be supported for ***four major OS updates and six years of security patches.*** Realme claims this is the first phone in its segment to offer such support."
it'll support 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches but the pro version will support 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches, it's weird that the non-pro version gets more updates than the pro

Anonymous, 27 May 20254 android updates3 android updates and 4 security patches... So it's 3.

Only battery life is marvelous here. Performance are mediocre cause of heavy throttling, camera is midrange basically, only 3 android updates, and price is 750€. Realme, Samsung s25 is 550€ now, lower your bumped prices.

Fingerprint sensor is optic and positioned too low (in comparision with F7 Pro) - fail.

jiyen235, 27 May 2025the display being 1440p changes the power needed, there are... moreRunning high resolution tasks that use more gpu and cpu power on a high resolution screen will use more power than running at lower resolution on same high res screen.

But it will still use more power to run lower res on high rea screen, than lower res on lower res screen.

Sony proved that for example, screens were 4k but 95% of the time everything ran at 1440p max, and yet it had worse battery than phones with 1440p dusplay running at 1440p.

I am not saying that (for example) 1080p at 1440p screen doesn't use less battery, in many tasks it will use less.

But no matter how the content uses those pixels, especially with AMOLEDs, there are physically there and will still use more power than running native lower res.

S25 Ultra would have better battery life if it had a 1080p screen and ran at 1080p, than running 1080p on a 1440p display, while the content (games, rendering and so on) run at lower res which causes that to use less power, the display is what it is and will still sip power no matter you use it or not.

Because running at lower resolution is lowering the CPU and GPU load, not how much the display itself is using.

Anonymous, 27 May 2025Check old protocol. Phones with QHD could barely pass 110h... morethe display being 1440p changes the power needed, there are more pixels to power. The internal output resolution being rendered doesnt play that much of a role 2-5% at best. What matters is the display's actual resolution and the resolution the task is being run at. For example editing apps allow you to halve the resolution of the previews to make the software lag less or how you can just lower the game settings/resolution to lower the power needed by the SoC.

At least that's what i gathered after looking at data from TV, monitor and phone display tests.
