By cutting a WHOLE 30 grams off a huge thick and heavy phone, it becomes an incredible miracle of technology, ultra light and thin. 🤣🤣🤣 Well, the only thing you can do with Edge is use it as a shoe shiner, since it has average hardware quality, but this is an innovation for 1300 euros that you get from Samsung. You can't expect it to work like literally all the other flagships on the market. 🤣

The 2 kilo Motorola DynaTAC 8000X is clearly the only best 2025 phone. I can even get my workout in with it.
    All other phone bad !!!!!

Please Vivooo x999 pro ultra be more than 2 kilo and 10 cm thick at least, pleaseee !!!!

In the past, being slim was the norm, but now it's an option that costs a few hundred dollars more than a comparable phone (S25+).

The camera bump is gigantic. It kills the idea of a slim phone.

A beautiful, ultra-slim phone that's definitely not worth more than $800.

I am curious to know the maximum thickness of the phone, including the camera bump. Any info in that regard, if someone has come across it?

L.O.R.D, 25 May 2025I fail to see what is so special about this phone. It is me... morewhen you run out of ideas you use old ones as new ones.

Phones used to have flat sides and then they started going for curvier phones then they started going for flat sides again then flat back again.

Phones used to be flat in the front, then they started using curved screens and now we're going back.

It's all a cycle. Just reusing old ideas and making em feel "new" with marketing hype. Samsung tried the thin, "modern" and light phone trick with the S6 series, got backlash, upped the battery and re-added the micro sd card slot. Unfortunately, I dont think anything like that will happen again, people will just eat it up and praise it.

All I see is a few of you trying to pass off practically the same thing as something totally different and unprecedented.
I'm glad you finally have a phone that won't put a huge burden on your shoulders, wrists, and back and will save you from the unbearable pain and fatigue in your life. I don't know how you've lived with such unbearable weights for your body until now, but those 30 grams will definitely make it easier to hold such a huge 6.7 inch phone. Just be careful not to stretch/tear any tendons in your hands trying to hold such a wide and long phone. Beware of injuries!

kdss, 24 May 2025Oh, a 6.6-inch phone, it's not a brick, right? It'... moreI never said it’s not still way too big but at least it’s not combined with being way too heavy as well. But again, you can’t see nuance like that because you only think in extremes and absolutes, only black and white. You right, me wrong, you argument win. Dumb dumb

I fail to see what is so special about this phone. It is merely thin, what else ?

Phone companies used to make thin phones around 2015, and moto even released some models thinner than this samsung, and that was with a metal design, audio jack, expandable storage and a feature to add additional accessories on the back via magnets, and that, is what I consider impressive

Lister, 24 May 2025I see the main criticism of this phone is that it doesn... moreYou might be right, but we have no info on the use of ASSBs for phones. Samsung announced 1st use on the ring at the end of this year, followed by the buds in '26 and the watch in '27. 2026 is projected to be a bounce back year for foldables. Considering the changes on the Z7, the Z8 will need a bigger battery to take advantage and compete with the ifold. The SSB is not likely to be ready by next year.

Samsung is not at all fearful of using Silicon Carbon batteries. They've been developing the technology as far back as 2016, but their R&D has been for EV's and this technology doesn't seem to be interchangeable between different platforms. Scaling may also be a challenge. They recently started manufacturing and shipping Si/C batteries for micro transportation vehicles. The Note 7 fires was not a result of new battery technology and nobody died from those fires. People die from EV battery fires so Samsung is taking a bigger risk with these new batteries.

Reviving a line up name without the iconic thing from the line up is diabolitical

The throttle test among all the S25 models is interesting. Who knew that the Edge would come out on top of the vanilla and the S25+. It came out second in highest avg performance with 204. I wish they had Edge cooling on the vanilla now. 😁

That's not the case when cropping the image. So, you could of course crop the image from a 14 mm UWA sensor to an area equivalent to e.g. 24mm but the cropped image would suffer from the same perspective distortion as the 14mm picture.

I see the main criticism of this phone is that it doesn't have a silicon carbon battery. Imagine it it had? Samsung would have a repeat of the Note 7 fiasco, but on a larger scale.

The companies that are passing on these at the moment are waiting for Samsung's Solid State battery anyway, which will be superior when mass produced.
