Have had the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Oppo Find X8 Pro, and now I am writing this review from Sweden, and on the 1TB red Vivo x200 Ultra, having shelved the s24 Ultra.

I can honestly say that this is the absolutely best phone I've ever used. The camera is from another galaxy (yes, zoom is better than the Xiaomi 15 Ultra), and the Chinese software build is absolutely no issue. Software is almost there with One UI, all apps run without any problems, and as for the battery, I seriously do not have a faintest idea what they're talking about, battery is as good as it gets (I read that Instagram had a battery draining issue; also, I've been using the phone for almost three hours now, and I'm at 88%).

Android Auto works without a sweat (didn't work on Xiaomi and Oppo), gestures work with a 3rd party launcher, no app limitations, and the amount of granular control you have over notifications and permissions is something Google should learn from.

Giving this phone a 4.5 is a shame! Go and buy online, you won't regret it.

    I was waiting for this review from you guys and I honestly expected allot more of it.

    One part i find really lacking is the comparison part with other phones. You should have put more effort into it.

    My and probably others thoughts are which phone is the better in some experience and as a total package. You only mention the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, The Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Samsung. But still. When comparing the Oppo Vs Xiaomi you guys wrote that the Xiaomi is the better phone and a little better camera phone.

    Here, I don't get it. You have the devices on hand. You should be more detailed in this summary comparison part.

    For me I'm clueless. Like, which phone would you choose and why?

      Best 14mm, best 35mm, best 50mm, best 70mm, best 85mm and best low light videography.

        This ultra phone still producing very bright style, even with night mode. Zeiss colors tune still not my type. Prefer leica color by xiaomi.

                And yeah I've seen a few reviews but the X200 Ultra is consistently the worst/near the bottom of the recently released 8 Elite/9400 phones in terms of battery life charts. It's annoying. They themselves nailed an FHD+ screen with the X200 Pro and a QHD screen with the IQOO 13 but for the past 2 years, have been screwing it up with their Ultra.

If you want ultra battery life don't buy an ultra!

                        All phones have their weaknesses, also Vivo is going towards a niche to make room for Oppo, 1+, Iqoo, Realme etc. They're different than Xiaomi and Samsung.
                        Like it or not, that's the phone with good and bad. Like it? Get it! Don't like it? Plenty of variants to choose from, old and new

                                Nick Tegrataker, 31 May 2025To be honest, apart from the main highlight, which is the c... moreI was once wondering about the 'folded optics for main camera' idea that you mentioned, but it seems to me that in any sort of configuration, the width of the sensor (the smaller side of the rectangle) will be the floor for the thickness of camera module. So, implementing large size sensors with longer focal lengths doesn't appear possible to me in mobile phones without excessive camera bumps with current level of technology. (I could be wrong though).

                                  Nick Tegrataker, 31 May 2025A lot more of the frame is in the focal plane in X200 Pro&#... moreOne one hand, yes, without closeups X200U leeks better because of lower sharpening but when you zoom in to 1:1, because of shallow focus a lot of picture is "out of focus" and those pics I selected show that the most. I think that Vivo made a mistake here, going for a bit more light at the cost of focus. Perhaps it is fun for portraits but it ruins the fun for most other shots.
                                  But maybe I'm overreacting and most problems is caused by how the autofocus (or manual focus) was set in the frames taken.
