I've used my Google Pixel 8 for a while, just because of GrapheneOS support. I don't have any plans to upgrade with how Google is going with hardware performance. Seriously, it can't be that hard to just make a good phone. Not asking them to make the best phone in the market, but at least make the performance comparable to other phones in the price range.

Why doesn't Google understand that switching to TSMC is completely useless if they keep using the trash Samsung modems that cause the phone to overheat and have a bad battery life???
Even Mediatek can design better soc than the trillion dollar company Google.

markiz, 05 Sep 2025Guys working at these reviews: please consider adjusting yo... moreDuring the years I learned not to look at the general score, but at the actual details of the review (depending on what interested me the most about a certain model).
There are hundreds of phones reviewed on this site, and the general score usually is between 3.5 - 4.6. If multiple phones have a general score of 4.3 for example, doesn't mean they are all equal. You need to look at the details of each review.
That general score is more to have a general idea about a certain phone. Usually below 4.0 it means is bad. But a good phone can have 4.1 or 4.6 as a general score. Like I said, depending on what you are looking for in a phone.
My current phone has a 4.1 general score on this site. And I am actually more pleased of it, compared to my previous phone, who has a 4.6 general score on this site.

Yikes those battery figures are bad! Though I have long had doubts regarding GSMArena's test results on this front. I have seen YouTube videos showing the Pixel 10 outlasting the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25, so where as im sure the Pixel 10 won't ever be winning any battery life awards, I'd bet it isnt as bad as suggested in this review

In the light of news that Google will put an end to freedom of development. The only promise of this phone, that is longer updates, is meaningless as I will di eon the hill of android 15/16 and... I guess get an iPhone after.

Right now most are offering pixel 10 for 200 off.
Just last month 2 carriers had the pixel 9 for 250.

Good luck with sales. Hopefully they get humbiled this time so they start improving their hardware and not charging flagship price for just the "software" upgrade.

I'll say it again - volume below power is Far better. You interact with volume significantly more when holding your phone, better it's closer to your thumb.
