I like it for me an Asian using not to big not to small yet slim and powerful, it is the best phone so far for me ,using it almost a month no issues, its because I already have an insta 360 so I think the other camera is no use for me so no regrets.

Have yet to use my unit as I need to set it up. But I have held it in the hand and it does feel premium and well put together. I will be honest I was expecting it to be a bit lighter (I know it's already very light but for some reason it doesn't feel that way to me). But I find the thinner form factor to be way more pleasant to handle. I also like the shiny look to the frame. I previously owned a 15 Pro for a year and hated the matte frame. The Air looks better quality. It's a niche phone and people need to realise that instead of complaining that it doesn't fit the use case of the majority of phone users. That doesn't make it a bad phone. People complain about the features that were compromised to achieve the phone's form factor. These same people compare the Air to the Pro model as if they're the same type of phone. Stop comparing apples and oranges.

It's a thin phone with a larger display. There are some tradeoffs (you can't have it all unless you buy the pro), but overall it's a decent phone.

Wesker, 26 Sep 2025Apple engineers completely slept on the silicon carbide bat... moreits not really hard to understand is it? its all about money and marketing they didn't put in carbon silicon because they are selling you a magsafe charger pack like I said its all about money. If you want more battery you pay for it.

in the photos shown in gsmarena review, why does it seems like the camera likes to focus on near objects rather than far objects or scene?

This thing is such a pioneer in anti-consumer philosophy. Each and every of its "feature" goes against customers needs. Being thin doesn't make it "compact" at all, and the asthetics cannot be seen as "beautiful". Other than showing off, there is absolutely no reason to prefer this montrosity to any iphone in the 17 series.

I'm sure phone cloners are clambering over each other to make this phone😂

Whilst neither phone is on my wishlist, I have a feeling that Apple's Air may actually work in favour of Samsung 25 Edge in increased sales.

The 25 Edge is to say the more premium.

                    BATTERY is the clincher
You don't even need a calculator the Edge lasts twice (& near double) as long recharge cycles before it reaches the dreaded 80% battery health.

                    2000 Samsung versus 1000 Apple
                    Using EU EPREL DOUBLE Samsung

12:44 hours ACTIVE USE SCORE Apple
12:06 hours ACTIVE USE SCORE Samsung

Thus if you buy the S25 Edge you have to pay EVEN more for a 'better' and longer-lasting (both redacted features due to slimness) product than Apple offers.

Whilst neither phone is on say e.g list your top 7 phones, a different phone for each day of the week, I have a feeling that Apple's 'deficits' may actually work in favour of Samsung 25 Edge in increased sales.

The 25 Edge is to say 'FLAGSHIP' to the 'MID RANGE' Air (if not two companies' products)

The compromises are inevitable considering the form factor. The price is an outlier.

In short, it has 2 selling points: It's Apple, it's slim. For anything else it's worse than any other phone (Apple or Android).

Sometimes you accept the compromises for something you were waiting for a long time like lighter weight.

For me, I can't get pass the fact that it's as expensive as the Pro for less hardware and features.

Maver1ck, 26 Sep 2025I am still thinking who's the target of this phone? Pe... moreI would beg to differ, people who would opt for this phone are not necessarily not economically able to afford a pro model. A few hundred doesn’t really matter. I suppose, like myself, I opted for this phone because I am not a power user and do not game on my phone. Adjunct with having an iPad for media consumption and a Mac for work. This is a phone for the utilitarian who values aesthetics and hand feel.

I've seen user reviews from other forums. Some going to Air from their "old" Pro Max models og iPhones. Oh boy, lots of justifications being done to the point of gaslighting themselves that they bought a better phone by buying the Air. Typical justifications:

                                1. The Air only has one camera but I don't use all the cameras from my Pro Max anyways.
                                2. It has only one speaker but I don't really use the speaker anyway, most people use BT headphones nowadays.
                                3. I has smaller battery but it can still go 1 day of use.
                                4. Lower performance but it's not made for gaming anyways.

Imagine gaslighting your own self just to justify the purchase from an older Pro or Pro Max iPhone models. The price isn't even cheap for the base version either.

The phone feels premium, of course. Apple built it to look premium on the display shelf. But I agree, it feels like this device was created only to be reviewed and admired for a moment, not to be a daily driver. The battery and single camera compromises made for that extreme thinness turn it into an engineering masterpiece, but not a practical everyday tool that many people would want to buy. Who wants to buy a 'concept phone' for daily work?
