Like others I admire the tech, but I really can't think of a good reason to buy it. Perhaps a lady would apreseate the thinner lighter design. Not having stereo is a major downer.

I turn off this Air when I know it's still using USB 2.0.

The colours in the photos certainly look flat. The grass lacks saturation. That said, I find Vivo's photos, despite their excellent clarity, have over-saturated greens. That why I'll stick with my Pixel. Maybe not the best in terms of clarity, but the colours are always perfect.

Your thickness comparison with Samsung's Galaxy Edge is quite misleading. That huge hump contains the circuitry Apple failed to make thin. If you slice off the hump, the phone is no longer a phone. The Galaxy Edge doesn't have any humps to fit any critical parts. They genuinely engineered the entire phone to one thickness.

"Cheap-ish feeling in the hand."
What a weird statement, had both Air and S25 Edge and both feel premium.
"Apple iOS 26 is chaotic and starts to fall behind the curve in terms of features."
They add more functionality and it still is not enough for the reviewer?
Anyhow, I stick to Android instead, iPhones for me are nice to test for a few days and then go back to what I rely on, which is Android.
But I do think these 2 cons stand out as nonsense.

David 040882, 25 Sep 2025Find it so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that there&... moreI admire the engineering but I agree a thin phone seems pointless use wise. I guess it is bought by people who want to be different and Apple are just trying to capture every market segment they can.
It will be interesting to see how popular this turns out to be.

It's an AU $1800 phone that his no stereo sound. The cheapest Oppo I sell at work has stereo sound. The S25 Edge has stereo sound. A truly insane design choice.

Surely they can fix the brightness under direct sunlight with a software update
Because 1700 or 3000 nits only for the first 2 seconds doesn't make any sense

The price should have been somewhere around the base iPhone 17, and even the non-pro A19 would have done a decent job at powering this
It's slim, but the slimness is overrated, comes at a cost of removal of other features and the battery will be replaced maybe a few times, in it's life time, since it'll degrade a lot quicker than other phones, especially considering iPhone batteries, that wear out relatively sooner

Find it so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that there's people willing to sacrifice so much from a phone just for a thinner form factor which gives you a couple millimeters of extra space in the pocket, less stress on your stick arm when holding it, all whilst being more fragile and easier to damage. Yet the pricing is still in the absolute highs. Unbelievable

This phone just has a beautiful and slim design. The camera and sound perfomance are not good at all.
