They need to sell more of this variant to get to the same overall profit they got from the vanilla 16, and I give them credit for taking that chance because they could fail profit-wise but each buyer of this unit still get a lot more for the same price, and that's what really matters to customers.

    As for the Xiaomi, the 17 was announced in China at the same price as its predecessor. So it's within reason that the international pricing would still be at least the same and the higher tier 17 Pro would be priced higher. Are you expecting the 17 Pro to be miraculously the same price as the 15 launch price internationally? lol

      Jekeb, 27 Sep 2025what kind of software limitations? im kinda curiousI can only think of the lack of 4k 120 recording even though it's fully capable of doing it.
      Also probably it won't be supporting Apple Intelligence 2 (or whatever they gonna call it) because of the 8GB ram.

              Anonymous, 27 Sep 2025120Hz that you all cried about...Buddy, when browsing 120 Hertz is only active while scrolling. When making calls your screen is turned off. And in regards of brightness, 120 Hertz shouldn't affect that either.. Apple waited forever so they can out an LTPO panel into the non-Pro model for a reason.

                  Only with the pro you get:
                  - Apple ProRAW photo capture
                  - ProRes video recording (including Log and external SSD recording)
                  - More advanced camera controls (extra options in Pro camera app modes)

                  Also better cooling and less throttling + titanium frame.

                  But of course, to each their own. If camera features/ performance is of less value, then 17 is overall a better phone.

                    The 17 is a great phone that beats most at the price. It's about time Apple delivered a good value device. Now give the 17e the same display.

                            I find some PROs mentioned in this review pretty questionable.

                            1.) 256 GB base storage (NVMe) at unchanged starting price.
                            Look at the price of this phone and you consider this as an advantage? My X7 Pro which cost me 329 euro has 512GB Storage.

                            2.) PD3.2/AVS wired charging and up to 25W Qi2/MagSafe wireless; reverse wired supported.
                            I would remove the wired charging part. Much cheaper phones can charge bigger batteries a lot faster.

                            2.) Great battery life for the size; efficient A19 platform.
                            Efficient, really? I see that talking time and web browsing got much worse despite the bigger battery, 5h and 4h less is seriously a lot.

                            3.) And no 12GB should also be between disadvantages. At least the 512GB should have had 12GB RAM. But Apple needs to milk their customers.

                            BTW, I find It ridiculous that performance except 3Dmak is not compared against Android phones, only against older Apples.

                              As for XIaomi, there are no official global prices released yet, so I won't comment that.

                                Great tech from apple always reliable and just does what I need it to do effeciently. I also have a Galaxy S25 Ultra and to me they are the same. So you got options.Noon has advertised cashback of 500. I have registered for cashback but no acknowledgment regarding the same. Why showing fake cashbacks?I got this phone this morning and I like it, as usual no major changes but slightly lighter in weight as compared to 16 pro max. quality is excellent with processor may be battery backup is Good.

                                    I have a 16 pro atm and I'm going to trade it for a 17.
