It's cheaper than a 13T on launch, and with provided gifts (67W brick + Buds 5). Great set, but if it wasn't for me having to get a phone early, I would've waited for the 15T.

Alwaves, 09 Oct 2025It's only 415$ in my region, and I'll definitely ... moreIn this region, the list price is $425,
but with carrier discounts it can be purchased for $325,
so there are almost no rivals when considering similar SoC and camera performance.
The 14T Pro, which is said to be a competitor, has dropped in price slightly but still costs at least $610, while the 256GB 15T Pro can be purchased for $650, so it cannot be compared to the vanilla 15T model.

I wonder, how well does this phone work with Gcam?
I tend to use this application for photos instead of the default Xiaomi app

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2025HDR always gets activated you just don't see it in the... moreWell it doesn't always work for me. It didn't activate frequently for me in indoor situations to control light sources on the Xiaomi 15 for example. Also in my living room when taking a picture with a window in the background i couldn't get it to activate to expose the outside of the window which would be completely blown out. The Vivo x200 pro mini in the same situations did activate the HDR and didn't have the said issues. That's the whole point of the auto HDR. The software has to judge when it thinks it's required but it doesn't always do so when i want it to. a manual HDR mode solves this problem

no complaints from me it's a good phone.. but GSMArena always puts inappropriate alternatives to this phone.. the closest competitors are Edge 60 Pro, Reno 14..

4.3 for this overpriced piece of overheating plastic? what the hell. I won't even touch this with $550 price tag. $500 at most with highest storage tier.

Zuzuz, 09 Oct 2025Nigtmode is still there on the shortcuts. Maybe you should ... moreActually, you're correct. I checked my phone and you can still chose the manual night mode if you click the bar above 'photo' message so my bad on that. Gsmarena have stated it's not there though for this phone 'Xiaomi has discontinued including any manual night mode settings in the camera app.'
For HDR like I mentioned it sometimes doesn't fire when it should so it blows out the highlights completely and there is no way to manually enable it. Before when it didn't engage you could move the phone around to see if you could use a different angle to get it to engage. I found on my phone and even more so on the Xiaomi the auto hdr to be not that reliable. It could all be solved though by just giving an option to manually engage it. What is your issue with offering a choice to manually enable HDR also in the settings as it's just an extra option for the consumer?

Aierlan, 09 Oct 2025Solid phone but basically it's almost the same as last... moreNigtmode is still there on the shortcuts. Maybe you should check your eyes before commenting about hyperOS!
HDR is doing exactly the same when engaged, but I don't really don't see the point by seeing if is used or not. All I want is to take a good photo, with or without HDR.
And yes, 15T is an evolution of 14T. A very good one

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2025649 euro in my country and a plastic frame? No thx350 euro for the 256GB version with goodies like redmi buds 5, band 9 active, 2 years warranty, 1 time screen replacement included in my country. Really tempted to finally retire my 11T Pro and get a 15T.

Xiaomi did well with the 15T series. Not perfect of course, but solid phones. And they'll be even better after their prices drop.

Solid phone but basically it's almost the same as last year's 14t just with improved battery life. Exact same camera setup. I'm also disappointed to see the removal of features in Hyper OS 2 like a manual night mode. First manual HDR was removed on most brands phones. That really annoyed me as for my Xiaomi phone auto hdr just does not fire all the time i want it to fire. Also, with the latest Hyper OS 2 software i can't know wheter HDR is firing or not whilst on the original software there was a hdr toggle present directly on the camera screen in the auto mode whichbwould change to yellow when HDR was engaged so you could take tell it was engaged. Now there is no way of knowing when setting up your photo as far as i can see. The removal of manual night mode in Hyper OS 2 is another downgrade in my book as it removes the option to enable nightmode in situations where the auto nightmode doesn't fire

Thanks for the great review, I'm getting this over the pro model, I like the more balanced package, better thermals with the lighter weight.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2025Funny right, if this was any non chinese brand people would... moreMost phones? Definitely not! Only higher end ones from Samsung, but all Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco.
And it works very well with quality headphones/earphones (I agree that it's unnecessary with speakers) and as a person who uses a phone for at least several hours a day for music I won't buy a phone without it.

Cons:
OLED
No Sd card reader
No FM radio
No audio jack
No 8k on the selfie cam
No selfie stick freebie
No barometer
Pro's:
Bootloader unlock
Conclusion: great buy for custom ROM project that doesn't require any special features

The photos from the rear camera look artificial to me. Photos from the selfie camera are better than many Xiaomi phones, but they're still not as sharp as many other phones.

Why does the 15T selfie camera get a decent comment and the 15T Pro an underwhelming comment albeit being the exact same sensors? Is the processing that different or the reviewer(s) wanted to mix up the articles a bit?
