Another clear example in which the Samsung Tetra²pixel Pattern is inferior to Quad Bayer not only noise, DR, color and tonality wise but also resolved details. The 200 MP are useless because they are grouped in 16 same color pixels which bring no benefit except high marketing number to brag about.

The X300 Pro main camera with a Sony LYT 828, 1/1,28" 50 MP Quad Bayer pattern sensor, and at 2x crop the image quality looks like:

Rolly Ghiz, 13 Oct 202557% stability is nowhere an improvement when it comes to ef... moreWe cannot gauge the performance of Elite gen 5 with just Xiaomi 17. It may just be HyperOS. Let us wait for Oneplus or even iQoo to get a proper data.

No one seems to be pointing it out, but it's actually really impressive how well-controlled the overall exposures are on all cameras inside both phones. Vivo has always been pretty good at keeping bright light sources at bay, but this year they took it to the next level and managed to eliminate almost all instances of highlight overexposure whether it's during the day or at night.

As for the detail rendition, the default sharpening level is (as always) a bit too strong for my taste. It's good that their camera app allows users to adjust some of the post-processing parameters and apply them to ALL shots taken in auto mode, though.

Rolly Ghiz, 13 Oct 202557% stability is nowhere an improvement when it comes to ef... moreThe efficiency is more so related to performance per watt, basically it's an improvement in efficiency if you can get more performance at the same or lower wattage, the 57% stability also only apply when the device is at maximum wattage which outside of benchmarks and video editing, no one is getting to that level of power draw

It's rare to find no downgrades on a new series these days but the x300 series actually has no downgrades and quite a few upgrades especially the standard model e.g. ultrasonic fingerprint reader, bigger main sensor, better selfie camera, better haptic motor, wider band coverage so it should be more suitable for use more countries, supposedly imposed lens coating. APO periscope. My one critiscism though is the pricw for the additional storage. 4399rmb for the base 12gb 256gb model is reasonable and cheaper than the Xiaomi 17 (4,499mb). However they charge 4,999rmb for 12gb 512gb. 600rmb for double the storage and the same RAM is a bit ridiculous. Xiaomi charges 300rmb more 4,799rmb for the 12gb 512gb model. In my opinion for most people (at least in China ) 256gb storage is not enpigh so they will need to pay the extra 600rmb if they want the 512gb model

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2025I will be patiently wait for the X300 FE next year myself. ... moreThe band coverage is much improved on the atandardbmodel this year. It seems to cover all European banda with LTE B20 added for instance. I've copied the bands below though so you can check for your country

Where is mini version? X300 is not mini. That should be real gamechanger with potentially 5,8 - 6inch display, which many people would love this even more compact size... Iphone is preparing some 5,5inch fold, so maybe they will finally change this trend of huge screen sizes.

How many complaints about the cameras hahaha unless you live off of photographs, for a phone and to take a picture of the dog and dinner, it's more than fine... Yes, there is some over-processing, but they will fix it with some update.

Another thing to note is the massive 20% drop of the battery during the test. It's bothersome cause that's ~1300mAh, clearly showing that it's not even as efficient as it's predecessor.

Nonetheless, the 9500 is actually more of a step up than the 8 Elite Gen 5 (at least that's what the Xiaomi 17 series tell us).

Can't wait to see what other brands can make do of these powerful chipsets!

Why X300 pro global have 5440mAh when x200 pro global had 6000mAh? What happen?

just saw some of the x300 pro samples. At native focal lengths it follows in the footsteps of the X200 Ultra with more organic looking shots compared to the X200 Pro. That's incredible.

And although these are power hungry at peak speeds, the efficiency gains are noticeable. For example, the GPU's lowest score is higher than the 8 Gen 2's highest and almost matches the 8 Gen 3's highest.

well, after the find x9 series launches in a few days, i think i'll get myself a find x8 ultra.think is the best right now at the end of the day.
