Venn, 20 Oct 2025It's not even Copy Cat because Apple innovated nothing... moreAnd Apple was since into 2007 never the phone with the best, possible image quality - and Sensor size. These have been always Android phones, period.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2025I love all the complaining about copying hard work. If I ca... moreExactly, you get it 👍. They're so down bad to the point of toxicity.
It's a free market and it encourages competition which only favors consumers.
Having an iPhone does not stop me from getting a Xiaomi or Pixel as well.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2025Nah. I had more respect for Microsoft with Windows Phone 7 ... moreOnly time will tell. iPhone too are copycats as is the entire Tech industry. The competition drives advancement.
Also Xiami did the back panel first, so Apple definitely copied that too.

Max, 20 Oct 2025All the chinese cars are sucks. Cheap components everywhere... moreI love it with a greater passion than you hate it. The phone has already sold out in China and a lot of folks are anticipating it worldwide. You're not the target market.

I was struck by how "Western" the city looks, from the architecture to advertisement. If not for the Chinese signs, I wouldn't have believed it's China.
Curious about the battery life!

as far as I'm aware, the only chinese exclusive phones that GSMArena reviews are the oppo find x ultras and the vivo x ultras because they're the most popular chinese exclusive phones.
but i really do think that GSMArena should expand the list of the chinese exclusive phones that they review, like the Xiaomi 17 pro max, it's the been the most popular device for the past month. (it is arguable that the iphone 17 pro max is more popular in the Xiaomi 17 pro max, because Xiaomi is nonexistent in the USA and a few other countries)

No Apple user is willing to change System, no matter the design, specs or price. That said, if Xiaomi REALLY would get rid of the selfie cam, I would switch from Pixel devices (my last 10 phones were pixel so!)

giordano, 20 Oct 2025Xiaomi's strategy is focused on attracting high-end us... moreI dont even know if there is a single one Apple iPhone user who would jump to android. Let alone xiaoumi, I believe most iPhone users do not even know xioumi exists. Xiuome greatly overestimates its appeal to theoretical new buyers, this brand looks so cheap and unrefined. I have few things from xioemi, a vacuum, smart band, kettle, and they all broke in less than a year, and everyone who i know who bought their products all say they broke even before warranty period, but no one cares to get them fixed, even for free

giordano, 20 Oct 2025Xiaomi's strategy is focused on attracting high-end us... moreNah. I had more respect for Microsoft with Windows Phone 7 launch. Making a completely new UI from scratch is much more interesting from a user perspective. I used it and I was like wow this is amazing! Too bad it failed due idiotic decisions by Microsoft. If I wanted iPhone I'll buy iPhone. Xiaomi copying Apple is the wrong strategy and makes them look cheap.

I love all the complaining about copying hard work. If I can get a phone that can bring together all these nifty features from other companies without some of the drawbacks of their phones at a cheaper price point then I wouldn't care, me as the consumer wins by getting a better and cheaper phone while the other companies should try and employ better versions so you're more inclined to buy theirs. Like I said, it's a win for me, so many die hard fans of this phone brand that phone brand on here Christ 😭.
