Phone has 3 modes. 12 mp, 25mp and 50mp. I did some checks and see no difference. So hires mode is useless

Dear gsm arena, did you had some problems with the sensor or software? Because some reviewers had problems with the sky, when taking pictures. It was not blue, it was pink/magenta

I see no improvement in photos but several new issues. I would say it's a fair bit worse than the X8 Ultra, even though the ColorOS16 update borked it somewhat. Doesn't deserve a 4.6 score with that broken camera processing.

Overexposed photos, especially bright parts, and bad, unnatural details when zoom a photo a little bit.
2-4 years old flagships, or even midrange phones, take better photos with a GCam (+ good config) than all these new, very expensive flagships with stock camera apps. Don't they have competent people to improve proccesing and quality of photos.

I say get... moreNo, they do not. I was using S23U with GCAM, and now I have Xiaomi 15U. And I do not have to buy a proper camera - I have two - I am an architecture photographer. :) When on vacation, I leave my Sony A74 at home, because I am very pleased with DNG and JPGs that Xiaomi produces. Sure, they are far worse than these from Sony, but good enough. Here is just a mess.

Those are simply the best photos I've seen taken by a mobile phone. Focus, lighting, sharpness, colour and contrast are all on point during the day and night and extremely pleasing to the eye. They look like they were taken by an expensive DSLR and then processed through photoshop by a professional. But they were just taken in auto mode with out of the box settings. Oppo is killing it with the cameras this year as they were doing last year (topped DXOMark) and, with the increased battery life, this should be phone of the year.
So this is basically Oppo's top flagship and they will not be releasing an X9 Ultra variant?

alirezaasol, 29 Oct 2025just compare camera sensors to find x6 pro. huge downgrade...it is upgrade from x6 pro 1 inch.
Yes 1 imch is 50% bigger but the the new Lens is F1.5 compare to F1.8 which gather 50% more light. so equial light gathered.
More important, the ewn sensor 828 is Dual-Gain with HR-HDR whcih can take signle shot as HDR compare to X6 Pro which take 2 shot and compain them into one shot ( where you will have time difference and get affected by hand shake )
new sensor can go Higher ISO without noise.

Hmmm... I don't know, but I found Vivo's teleconverter lens to produce better photo quality despite the shorter zoom reach than Oppo's. Also, I don't see any mention about the lens support for vanilla Find X9, unlike Vivo's vanilla X300.
