adsubzero, 25 Dec 2025There's just so much wrong with this comment I don... moreI agreed with you

How long will we have to wait for the review of the Honor Magic 8 Pro?

amigosan, 27 Dec 2025what a hater you are xD go see the latest reviews on you... moreUntil I see a proper review, by which I don't mean a compressed youtube video, but full resolution samples like gsmarena provides, this is how it is. And no, dxomark's opinion still isn't worth a dime so waiting on that one won't change anything.

I'm only a hater of bad products and bad company policies. Honor isn't bad, just their cameras are massively overrated.

go see the latest reviews on youtube using the latest firmware -> everything has been improved photo wise

I was a big critic against HONOR last years, but this year they are truly improving, and are doing so the right way.

so for anyone wondering -> yes this dude is full of hate, no his opinion shouldn't be taken into account

oh yeah and : Best regards,

DxO Mark has rated this 5th in their rankings

Invetor, 20 Dec 2025Taking a better look at the sample photos, I can say Honor ... moreThere's just so much wrong with this comment I don't know where to start... LOL where do you see good photos here? Have you actually checked the samples before writing that? Did you not notice that water looks like it's painted on with a brush in those "good" low iso shots? Everything in these photos is oversharpened, smoothened out and looks plastic. It's mind-boggling how people praise this garbage.

Invetor, 20 Dec 2025Taking a better look at the sample photos, I can say Honor ... moremy friend, this is very correct very nice comment

honor really are going the correct way in the improvements they are implementing with the Magic 8 Pro

everything you said here, better specs, better post processing overall with less sharpening and overall toned down processing, better color science overall + better color science between lenses, AI implementation that is well done (if you activate AI = you have both the non AI and AI image, with the amazing comparison tool in the gallery), with "vanilla" shot without AI that are truly gorgeous (and to be honest I don't really like the fact that AI creates things anyways, but for night shots it can sometimems be amazing, see flashingdroid video on youtube)

i am really in love with this phone, I hope they'll keep on improving it with updates and that the next iterations will keep getting better, they have to keep up on the right track

even the software (magicos overall) has a lot of amazing and well implemented feature, and is a pleasure to use

and I hope they'll throw some updates for the videography which is where they are still lacking a lot

PS : the button, I did not use for camera (just tested it right now a little bit), but is in fact really nice to have as an "AI" button and is very satisfying in its usage

and in my "very fast" testing in the camera app I have to say that it is very well done, no need to press too much so not adding any shakiness, pre focus pressure is very well done, there is haptic feedback... very very nice to use

Still waiting for the full review. It is still under hands on so far.

Come on where is the review??

Taking a better look at the sample photos, I can say Honor is the best of all camera-phones this year - even compared to the ultras. Why? Because Honor uses low ISO for taking photos (which is the way it should've been in the first place, because it gives you minimal noise and sharpest detail). But all the other Chinese phones use high ISO to take a photo - which introduces noise, and then use various kinds of de-noise algorithms to get rid of that noise. This makes the photos look smeared, over-processed and unauthentic (looking at you, Xiaomi and Vivo). The Western phones use relatively low ISO, but their zoom cameras are outmatched by Honor's big telephoto sensor.

Also I need to mention that Honor's camera button seems to be the best implementation of it. It is a two staged shutter button - allowing you to focus first and then take the photo. It is positioned towards the middle - allowing you to use it in portrait mode (though I don't see myself using it that way). And finally, you can slide you finger on it to zoom in/out easily - but I don't see myself using that either. Anyways, I just hope that the button is not too stiff to press normally, but also not too soft to be pressed accidentally.

Can't stand people who blindly say honor's camera's are better than oppo, vivo or xiaomi's. Honor's camera's look so fake and too processed especially with A.I.

Yes price is (or rather may be) good but god those camera's are awful. Heck the battery life of the magic 7pro was pretty crap after seeing posts of them using it for 6 months.

I’ve got the honor magic 7 pro here in the uk,I bought it at a sensible price in open box new condition for £450 back in June 2025.
It’s a decent phone but the cameras haven’t had much love,so anyone buying this magic 8 pro please take into account that honor do not put much effort into improving there flagship phones once released, the cameras haven’t still isn’t impressive for the specs, especially that huge telephoto it should be amazing but it just isn’t

I think there is a 16gb/1TB Global version available??

If not, hopefully 16gb/512gb Global will be available.......my current and last few phones have been 16gb, I don't want to go backwards.

I just read there's a new update for the 8 series with camera improvements and other stuff. What's annoying is the 7 Pro gets northing

What happened to the full review, we are now in Dec.

The difference in camera output is stopping my familiarity with EMUI from finally switching from Huawei Pura to Honor Magic pro. Face pics are just too over-brightened in Honor/Oppo/Vivo flagships.
