So, to sum up this chapter of our shootout, when it comes to 8 megapixel sliders, the Sony Ericsson C905 is definitely the one that's always ready to capture the moment without compromising lens protection plus it's got the upper hand with better organized shortcuts. It also snatched our appreciation for its superior looking interface among the sliders.

In the touchscreen couple the Samsung Pixon leads with its handy viewfinder controls, automatic lens cover and user-friendly interface.

SE C905: 7/10 • Samsung INNOV8: 5/10 • Samsung Pixon: 4/10 • LG Renoir: 2/10

I just bought this new phone 5 days ago, all i can say "I could not ask for more" I don't have complaints so far, its a great phone with lots of useful features, i've been a Nokia user since Highschool days to sum it up almost 10 yrs ago. Now, I've found a new buddy with SE c905, got the copper gold color, luv it!

Since when the camera is in focus with green square and you take the photo, in 4 seconds (while it saves it and i push “new photo”) mine is ready for another...is this slow? Don’t think so.

It's not "if" - I had it in me for testing and taking a picture with it has nothing to do with "point-n-shoot". You point, press, then expect to get the picture, but you have to actually wait for the camera or you get blurry thing the phone saw while you moved the camera down. This I call slow. Compared to other non-OS phones is ridiculously slow. Same goes for the media menu of C905 though.

If you can try the Renoir and you’ll see that it's not slow and the interface is very usable and fast with touch.
I have it and it’s wonderful both as phone and as camera, would never change with any other phone...love it!

Given that I saw the SE and LG phones, I can't say LG is the best in the group. Neither the pictures show something like this - jaggy edges due to lack of NR, dynamic range is subjective, Renoir is also slow and uses lot of compression for 8 MP camera, interface is very clumsy (which has always been like this with LG). Lens-wise there is no actual difference, LG is a fraction wider there with 5 mm focal length (6 mm in C905, also consider large crop factor of these sensors), with similar ISO sensitivity and speed combination across different lighting conditions and equivalent f-stop.

SE C905 design is not what I expected. LG is what I thought it would be - another fashion toy.

I own an SE c905 and the camera is fantastic, you need a phone that takes an easy, quick picture and takes a great night shot. I feel SE have done well with this handset and look forward to see what is to come..

Samsung has proudly proclaimed that global sales of it's high megapixel packing cameraphones have topped 10 million units this year, and that's considerable achievement.

These include the symbian-powered GT-i8510 INNOV8, SGH-G810, SGH F480 and also the recently announced GT-M8800 PIXON.

can't make the picture quality better

i having a good hardware then getting a good interface

cause the interface is just a SOFTWARE can't help the image but make worst the image

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2008I feel that Nokia interface is the easiest. It depends on each human brain. I got little bit dizzy when trying my aunt's N73. My mom and sister switched to SE after using Nokia for a long time and never complain and it seems never come back to Nokia. SE user interface has a good menu structure and nice icons, the themes is easy to customize. In this review GSMarena mentioned that SE camera user interface is the winner.
