looks good so far. hopefully it'll have xenon flash, fast html browser and ability to install garmin or tomtom...

For me everything boils down to the price. Until now I used SE because it was cheaper than its competitors while still offering great futures. Right now I am using a P1i and I must say it is an excellent phone, also vodafone used to sell them with a GPS reciever in the package without any price increase.

4 me, difference between 8mp and 12mp picture is not that much on a computer monitor. but the video capabilities is much more important.
That's why i'll go for the Omnia HD than the Idou.

ok. I respect everyone who loves the Idou most. but think; wat did sony ericsson do but producing just one Full Features phone with other some non-surprising phones ??
Take a look at samsung with their (HD - Beat DJ - Projector phone - Solar Power phone). Did you get now what i mean ?? it's the true creation. The future that all other companies will try to do the same ideas that samsung makes. And if you think that the best camera phone is Idou, you're wrong. Samsung made the B600 from the time the N95 was just released and it had 10MP Camera with OPTICAL ZOOM and Xenon Fash.
Don't get me wrong I still adore the SE and this Idou but if u say SE is best phone company, it's unfair against samsung.

I hope se will give a complete phone in cebit at least and will also present ready to launch cyber-shot, "reese" and the next xperia ^^

Ok... although the Idou looks great in pics, it doesn't look so hot in the real world, but still packs a punch! I agree with some of the bloggers! It still lacks some functionalities to be a complete success!

Sony Ericsson also announced that they are planning of hitting the video playback from various angles by not only focusing W995 on video, but by providing unlimited movies downloads via the PlayNow Arena Movies service, which would require a monthly subscription.
By this do they ment that they are going to improve the video playback of the W995? ( i hope)
Or are they just going to improve the PlayNow Downloadservice?

First, I really surprised with SE. Especially with Idou. But, after I read the spec, I'm starting to worry. The spec is very uncomplete. In other words this phone just only prototype now.
I remember MWC 2008 when SE launch Xperia X1. The situation are the same. Xperia make everyone surprised with SE.

I'm glad to see Sony have still got their finger on the pulse and am excited by their latest announcement. Lets face it the C905 is a disaster of a mobile phone, it promised so much but just didnt deliver. Lets hope they get it right with the 'idou'. It sounds great. No doubt ill upgrade my INNOV8 when this hits the shelves unless Samsung can better them again=)

The xperia not only had an SD card slot, but a normal USB connector like most HTC. The SD card slot alone cannot justify that the phone is made by somebody else.

Looks like SE has really rocked the mobile world. Right now they are way ahead of Nokia that is for sure! Nokia has only one pathetic announcement of the N97, the cheap Chinese looking dumbphone which is already outdated even if it is not out yet!
That is shameful from you Nokia!
Nokia is going down fast!
