hi, i am receiving my S7350 in a few days and would like to know whether purchasing an extra battery would be of benefit to me as i have read on every blog that the battery life is poor.are there ways to conserve battery life??

nice phone to use but i have some points to make.
1. compared to my old U600, you cannot cut a phonenumber from an sms and save it
2. When smsing, on the recepient line, you cannot simply type out the first part of the name of your contact and let the phone auto complete it for you. You need to manually type the whole number

I've been waiting for this phone to come out for some time and bought a black one the day before this review was posted (although I have read other reviews on other websites). Overall I'd say it's a good phone and offers good value considering it's feature pack and price point.
About the "D1" video recording; I took the same video shot in D1, 640x480, and 320x240 and compared. The D1 and 640x480 are practically identical (sans 80 pixels) and while the quality isn't as good as the same D1 shots I've seen from the Pixon and S8300, it's still NOT 320x240 merely upscaled so I'd say the reviewers are wrong on this one but I would say there is definitely an issue. Depending on shooting conditions, I would still rank the videos as usable, and remember, while the S7350's video capabilities might not be as good as those models above it (duh), it still blows the model it was designed to replace out of the water (read: U900 Soul).
Pet peves: I don't like how when you turn off keypad tones it turns off ALL other tones like the little chimes when you turn bluetooth on/off or when you press the # key to exit silent mode. Also, I can't figure out how to change the input language in password form fields on websites using the NetFront browser (can only input english, even if I set the phone to another language).

It's not ugly... IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!
it's classy and elegant, nice and shiny, professional and metallic and has a black diamond...

the worst thing about this unit is the video quality, on the few sites I've managed to find a sample, it is just as they say in the review: the videos appear as if they are simply QVGA upscaled to D1, a real deal-breaker for me :(
