Samsung M8910 Pixon12 review: By the dozen

03 July 2009
The Pixon12 is about to be three times lucky. But any way you look at it, it’s nothing short of a dozen. Not that we wanted to make that much fuss, but a bunch of 12 megapixel pictures coming from a phone are always worth it...

I refuse to buy a 12 megapixel camera phone without xenon flash.

Nice phone otherwise (mostly)

KD, 04 Jul 2009This is phone, right? First, i wish to know how is voice qu... moreYes this is a phone. Worry abt 'voice quality' only if u r buying unknown brand phs nowadays. And battery life? It will last u atleast 3 days IF u only make a calls. Dun use camera, dun browse thru menu, dun turn on wifi and dun play games bcoz this is a phone.

I'm really trying to find the difference between this phone and the samsung s8000 jet, besides the higher MP on the camera, why would I want this over the jet?

why the hell are you reviewing this when everybody is STILL waiting on a Omnia HD review? It came out a month and a half ago and you're still reviewing phones that aren't even out yet!!!

You'd have thought that the 3rd highest ranking user reviewed phone on here and the only true iphone contender would warrant a review!!!

I'm off to a proper website....

Nice review of a nice phone.
The main point of the phone obviously being its camera and it's producing pretty stunning picture quality for a cameraphone.
It beats N86 in every way camerawise (expect the first low light pic..I think N86 produces more pleasurable image).
But the price is going to be huge...much more than anyone is willing to pay for it..Not including the phone-enthuastics who just need to have the best (cameraphone) whatever it costs.
But even tho this test was about Pixon12 it also proven me again that N86 is the best all around phone u can buy at this moment. If u don't want or need to have a touchscreen phone. The camera is great and fw-updates are going to make it even better. It's smart and the pricetag is steep but reasonable.
But still, nice work from Samsung. At least it will make the other companies to work their asses of to compete in this highend segment as well.

leds never perform like xenon! for quality pic xenon is needed. xenon can cover every single area (2.5~3.5cm) which leds can't! 2nd gener / 3rd gener led flash (wht a joke!) is totally marketing. if u bring-out a phone which is sp made for imaging purpose with higher resolution & wide angle with variable aperture or not in market, should give xenon...

O.k people want good camera mobiles, but the produces have to realise its the price of the mobiles that we want lowering,as this handset will not be affordable to everyone,if the camera mobiles were same as usual cameras nowdays they might sell more, an the camera quality the same they might be worth its true value but we do not get the same quality at all on mobiles

Very nice phone but do we really need 12MP ?

                          I guess not.

                          I would prefer a slimer phone :)
