HTC started from scratch, made it good after a few years, and sad to say is about to go down. They've reached their climax. They were good. But they don't know how to run a good, quality, telecommunications company for the long haul...
Imagine, releasing a unit that can be outdone by others released prior to this one. Specs...? Seriously, you're boasting the specs of this unit?!?!
Come on, GSMArena, you're trying to hype your words (e.g. "impeccable", etc.). How much did HTC paid you??? Only fools would sell this kind of hype.

htc after sales is non existant .if a powerful device like this starts malfunctioning then its the worst phone as they do not have any after sales support in most countries. unlike nokia which is excellent with after sales ..no matter how advanced their phones are , htc and apple are doomed to fail without proper after sales support especially in India !!!!

but.........
I DON'T AGREE WITH YOUR CHEATING WRITING FROM THE SAME DEVICE UNDER 2 DIFFERENT NAMES.... OK?
STOP CHEATING (whether you are a real devil or very dark knight.. he he)

anonymous duuuude, u seriously got to learn how to read! the only reason right now u thinking that it is the best beast out there is let me guess SNAPDRAGON!! yeah am I correct??
well to disappoint u buddy, every company including Toshiba, SE, Acer r now using it this days!
And the largest screen, well, ok, guess u r a fan of PC tablets
capacitive? isn't it what all the devices with android r running this days...
I only agree on one thing: this is the first HTC device to have all 3 of those things and THAT'S it!
So, either u WIN Mobile hardcore user, or most likely just following this crazy HTC hype!!
SO, WAKE UP!
btw, forgot to add;
20)ONLY 2 Mbps on HSUPA
21)With no playable HD playback, HD recording, or HD radio, or AMOLED display (or at least higher HD resolution)it DOESN'T even deserve to be called HD2, just like it's predecessor..

what the hell is wrong with people saying this phone is bad?
have to seen other phones on the market? the Touch HD2 crushes anything even near its level
its price is gonna be high cause its new but that happens with every single phone so there really is nothing "trashy" about the HD2
its freakin amazing

Although I am planning to buy the Nokia N900 for many reasons, I should admit that the HD2 does have much more features.
But the issues here is not how many features HTC can put into a device, it is: how can they make that device appealing and practical.
It could definitely be an excellent device, but is it a practical phone?
I still believe that Nokia's Linux-derived OS, plus the flash-running ability in the N900, are very promising.
No offence to HTC users at all. And I swear that I had devices from the both companies before. If any one does not agree with me, please reply. I am very open, and I can still change my mind.

Prefer un-boxing pictures (as Iam working from office, dont have youtube access). I guess this will be problem with most of gsmarena users.

1)NO video call
2)NO TV-out
3)NO DLNA
4)NO 16million color display
5)NO AMOLED
6)NO 16 GB internal storage
7)ONLY 5MP camera and NO geo-tagging
8)NO HD recording
9)NO 5.1 channel surround sound (even virtual doesn't exist)
10)NO DNSE 2.0 speakers (or Dolby enhanced speakers)
11)TOO small of a battery for such large screen (device=battery drainer)
12)NO mediascape (or fancy unique UI from Sony)
13)Same old (just bit larger icons/improved) more memory-hungry Touch FLO 3D, with same annoying black color
14)NO Android (but that is people's preference)
15)NO REAL multitouch as it still runs on WM 6.5 (HTC shoulda waited till WM 7.0 - and porting it ISN'T SAME as running it natively, besides Windows CE 6 is VERY different from Windows CE 5 which WM is based upon, so forget about even having in the future via XDA)
16)NO North American 3G bands
17)TOO BIG!!!!
18)TOO ugly (on the back)
19)HTC HD3 is already in planing (at least that's what I heard from HTC reps)
I'm HTC = lesser innovations leads to lesser risks and cheaper parts, which leads us to MORE MONEY!!! and yep MONEY is all I care about!!
,....
....
Can't agree more with darknight07, this device surely looks now more like an oversized, overpriced trash from HTC! u might as well be better with a tiny PC tablet...

yep i knew this all along - WHAT A CRAPPY FAGGY DEVICE this is!!! HTC u suck and disappointed everyone once again!!
And seriously HTC: STOP USING HD AS A GIMMICK to lure more customers to buy ur new device!!!!
And GSMarena better read first before POSTING!! i8910 HD has a weaker processor??? yeah, keep dreaming. OMAP 3430 is actually quite MORE powerfull than snapdragon, especially considering that snapdragon isn't even implemented properly YET. I won't go into discussion on y, cause there r others who posted about this before, and honestly there have been quite some arguments on this matter of different processors....
But anyways this phone can't even handle 720p videos, none the less record them in that!! and forget about 5.1 surround sound...
but i guess it's a good improvement over the first device (carrying the same gimmicky name)

[deleted post]if you watch closely you see that its not true, its just a somewhat inexperienced user... someties using the lightest touch, and the phone responds, but due to the lack of experience often touching the display harder than needed.
I my self havent tried the phone, and know nothing about its responsiveness, but checking the video you clearly see it reacting even with a light touch.
Ive seen loads of people touching the iPhone display harder than needed, that is however not then a proof of the display having a bad responsivness, so why should this?
very unlogic assumption from your side.

dara, 10 Nov 2009only thing that this got over X10 is the multi touch. SE- ... moreYes, and when it's released in 2010, it will be (unfortunatelly) outdated against the next gen phones.
I liked the specs of this HTC, but something that really pisses me off is that in sunlight I can't see the screen clearly, so I may not accept that issue in this phone.
Anyway, and ignoring that issue, this phone is great, perfect for any type of users and it seems that is very easy to use, even for a WinMo phone.
