Had this phone for 2 weeks, everything works great, no glitches, very fast prosessor, great email, loud speakers, comfy keyboard, everything you could need in a phone is there, best phone ever
If you're thinking of getting it, think no further!

I have had this phone for a week, and I have to admit, I'm impressed. I have yet to update the firmware, and hopefully Nokia won't panic and rush an update out, even though I feel, as many others do; like a beta-tester.
I'm surrounded by iPhones and Blackberrys, and after seeing an E71 in action, I decided to go for the E72, and not run with the crowd. I'm happy I did. I've been quite fortunate with very few bugs, (it went to menu screen from the new Ovi maps), but for those with issues...WAIT! I'm sure Nokia will release support for this device and justify this as the worthy successor to the E71, which I already think it is.
Microsoft use consumers as beta-testers all the time, hence your OS service packs. So give Nokia some slack, this is a great phone, and is destined for greater things when the anticipated firmware is released.

On page 5 of the review, you say: "...geotagging, which is automatically handled by the camera..."
and then on page 6, you say: "Strangely, the option to activate geotagging is missing."
So is geotagging available out of the box or not?

Hey guys... This is addressed to e72 owners out there.
Have you updated your firmware?
If you did, did you loose any data or apps?
I'm considering to buy this phone. I just want to know that if I update the firmware, will the "Quick Office" (that is licensed so that you can also create documents)still be there? Will all the other apps that the phone came with be saved? Will the contacts, messages and calendar notes be saved? Thanks.

Bought E72 a week before...
Its a mindblowing piece of techno...
I never bought a Nokia earlier coz of my conception regarding nokia phones r slow n buggy...
But believe me this phone is the worthy successor of E71...
Performance:
very zippy and a very fast processor...I can run around 6apps. at a time...and thats cool...
Its battery backup is rilly commendable...
Camera and sound are as expected OK...its more than enough, for what else a business phone can fetch into multimedia facilities...
Build quality is too good...
It feels so royal to hold this beauty in My hand...
Im rilly very impressed for what I got by spending a handsome amount of money...
Thanks to the Gsmarena.com team for the review dat turned me from N97mimi way to E72...;)

Email software in E72 did not automatic synchronize with the server. I have to connect and synchro manually. Timed synchro also did not work. I set to synchro every 10 minutes but it doesnt work.
I tried to download and install email software from email.nokia.com but it said, latest version of email software has already installed in E72.

I wonder why geo tag was not a part of E72. I guess with next firmware update nokia will include all the missing things in this device. Till then I have a small solution for Geo tagging feature. Refer my blog.

********** Potential Buyer Read This ***************
Just bought an E72.Terribly disappointed with the bugs. What were the nokia engineers thinking when the phone was cleared for release. Such simple stuff has been overlooked, that it is very shocking. Looks like they shipped the prototyes without testing the product.
1. The New Contacts - via long key press doesnt work,
2. Bluetooth does not work well, keeps dropping the connections,
3. sometimes pressing the spacebar freezes the phone and have to reboot,
4. Internet radio & podcasting which was there in e-71 & E-63 is not available,
5. The biggest deal breaker - the built in nokia messaging client is a step backwards and takes forever to render html mails, this feature worked beautifully in E71 & e-63.
6. 2nd Deal breaker - Non of the 3rd party navigation software works well on E72.
Mails to nokia and posts in their discussion forums hv not been answered till date.
Just google and you will find 1000s of posts about this. Most of it can be rectified via a firmware update. Still how did nokia drop the ball on this one. All the goodwill earned with E71 & E-63 will be lost if nokia doesnt act now. For future buyers, it would augur well to wait for a firmware update to deal with this bugs.

amar, 29 Dec 2009i did the same thing as u said, with menu and sw but my e72... moreHmm, that's funny you know, I rebooted the device, I even deleted all files entered by me into it's memory. Still, the problem persists. Maybe, I'll go to Nokia Care. Thanks anyway Amar. It's food for thought if you haven't faced the same problem.
