i have this phone.. i dont any great things to say about it, But i also dont have anything bad things to say either... so my ratings are 6.5/10
as for FM/Radio option , simply download the app from the Market, there is a ton of diff. radio apps there....cheers
Do i recomend this phone? YES..
Why?- its new sleek, and most places will let u try it risk free for 30/90 days , and if u dont like it ! then take it back and get ur self the so call IPHONE, im sure its a 10/10.. pffffttt.......jokes...

Just a quick summary of my experience with the phone.
my main comparison will be nexus one since I had that just before the acer.
on stock Rom, donut, it ran very smoothly. No lag and such.
Then I loaded eclair and the device slowed down, but I feel its software related. why? because with a custom eclair Rom things run smoothly but a tad slower than nexus one.
phones got a nice aesthetic look and the 5 mp camera is not shabby.
My only real criticism with the phone is that the capacitative touch screen is not very sensitive and typing can be a chore. this is especially so around the edge of the screen.
Also the battery life is mediocre, but that's expected with a snapdragon and wvga screen.
If a community builds on this phone it can become much better, the hardware is there just lacking refined roms for it.

hi i have a problem with my phone. when i make a call i hear no sound through the speaker so ihave to put it on loud speacker does anyone know what i can do to fix this problem??

I'm sorry GSMArena but I happen to have this phone. And First of I'm very happy with it. But most of all I really don't understand how you can say its not usable to play higher res than QVGA videos... I convert all my 720p tv shows into 720p with SUPER and my Liquid plays it with no effort. Seriously its this kind of mistake that drives the reader to a bad opinion of the phone.

Sorry for the Acer haters term but just say what really is bad in this device rather than just saying that it sucks it would be better.

I have been using Acer laptops for ages and recently even brought a new one for €1300 and i am very happy, and have have always been happy with Acer, but this phone is a unfinished product that drags the good name of Acer in the dirt.

I have this phone for over a mounth, and all i can say that is very nice, by the way ,..i can play 720p videos, watch the youtube video that i made

I just wanna laugh when I see people saying "lol what a piece of crap".
I don't know if you read well but the review says the phone's good.
But yeah when we're Acer haters who don't like any of their product it's so easy to say that this device sucks because of an audio music problem.
I don't say this is the greatest android phone, but it has some great things like the Snapdragon processor and cost less than a HTC Hero.And the sound problem may be solved with an update.

Just read the review. Wow, what i piece of pure crap. It's like Acer ran out of developement funds for this project or something and then forgot to finish the phone. Stick to PC related stuff Acer, this is a joke.

math, 05 Feb 2010There is no way to run the music player in "phone mode... moreAll I'm saying is what I see - its amplifying voice (or thats the way it looks to my experience of playing around with equalizers), and it looks like it was made on purpose. So I think its stuck in "voice communication" mode, like, phone thinks its connected to a headset (headphones + microphone) and is being used for voice communications.
I have no way to check it, though.

I guess there is a reason why this phone is out in limited places, probably rushed this out to try and beat the nexus one to market.

Frequency response makes me think this android gadget was used in phone mode instead of music playback - if I am not mistaken, bass is completely cut off, "voice" is 10db amplified and the rest remains within norm.
Did you actually listen to what it played or did you just run the test in auto mode without thinking?

How is it possible to have the fastest cpu on the smartphone market and not be able to play Xvid videos over qvga, my 3 year old N95 beats the sh*t out this thing.

I'm a bit disappointed with some of the flaws, was expecting a better verdict about texting, no smart dialing and no voice dialing it's a failure as well.. but still an awesome phone, just missing 2.x android upgrade =)
