I assume someone would have already asked this question if the information was available, but does anyone know what this phone will retail for - even a ballpark figure? I'd love to know!

This is a really nice phone - very stylish and high specs make it a looker as well as a performer, completely outdoes any other device on the market. Can't see why anyone would opt for an iPhone over this which is vastly inferior and overpriced. Ah yes, to follow the other iSheep and think of themselves to be iCool.

Peter E, 17 Feb 2010Just like to understand its positioning in the range? Is it... moreThe Omnia HD can playback High Defenition movies, the samsung wave cant. Not a big deal since anything looks like high def on a small screen :D.

i think this phone is way better than the omnia hd. Multi touch suppourt out of the box. Super Amoled. Wifi N. Bluetooth 3. Anti Smudge which i still wanna see how well it works. And the big factor is that its much faster than a omnia hd and 720p video recording will be smoother. this phone can render 89 million triangles! So games can look amazing!

Just like to understand its positioning in the range? Is it a replacment / superior to the my Samsung HD Icon? Is that what the article calls Omnia HD? Just want to know whether I should upgrade. Anybody clarify / comment? Thanks

It's about time for Samsung to get their high end products to be competitive.

good preview man. i like it
and as you said we will see if they make the same misstake as they did with omnia hd. yeah and it's a shame for 3td part software.
i will give samsung 6 mounths of rigorous testing after release if i'm going to buy bada phone or ultimate i8520. and i will watch for everything support, apps, reviews etc.
there is still nokia, iphone 4th gen, wphone7 and as i can see acer ferrari to watch after.

dara, 15 Feb 2010did you seen the display comparison? this thing annihilate... moreblow the iPhone away? LMAO. another user who can't afford an iPhone so has to bash it. If you bothered to read the paltry specs it's nowhere near as high specced as the iPhone. Who cares about the shiny flashy screen? Is there a Samsung with app store nearing 1 billion downloads? no. Does it have the best iPod installed? no. Oh and btw - does it look like a gleaming piece of plastic? yes. Get real dude

what I've seen so far I like it. am I wrong when I say, that Bada OS will probably replace TouchWiz, even in cheaper phones? then bada os would be touchwiz gone to competable OS structure...

                                the phone is sick

But Bada's pretty much like Mac OS mobile overall and its insides Feels like Symbian.

to make it worse theres that Touch Wiz

but Still the phone itself specs, construction, Super AMOLED, 1ghz Slimness is sweet

No multitouch is a bit of a letdown. Hopefully the retail versions have this added in.
