I asked my local LG people and they told me about the upgrade in September too. I really hope they go for 2.2 straight away...

I hope they skip 2.1 and go for 2.2 instead as it's optimised to use less resources which I think would be better for this phone.

I wrote LG asking them if LG GT540 will get android 2.1. They said that it will get 2.1 in september. It was the Danish LG who wrote that to me. So if that is true, I'll buy the phone :)

I'm a little bit confused with the os....
GSMA said that this phone running 1.6, but the icons, lockscreen, is just looks like 2.1....
it's confusing... :(

This phone is Fail, only low price can save it.
Only thing they need to do is to take hardware of 'LG GD880 Mini' and install 2.1 Android on it, that would be something awesome.
