I currently have iphone 3gs jailbroken and i compared it to my friend's new galaxy s...the new samsung obviously has much better screen but the phone lags much more than 3gs when using many apps. And apple app store is way more user friendly than android and has much more variety apps...and the design of galaxy looks just like copy of iphone 3gs...i will get iphone 4 maybe after 1-2 mnths

DJay, 21 Aug 2010ok i am neither and iphone 4 hater or samsung galaxy s hate... moreSGS audio quality to headphones is perfect if you disable the default equalizer (you can do that by going in the android setting menus there's a thread on xda explaining how, it is also rumoured that default eq will be disabled on the 2.2 firmware cause some people whined at samsung).

One day some vip suddenly tookout the samsung galaxy s for connectg blue tooth with my 5800, i was stunned by the awsome display....it was splendid...my nokia5800 display, which i thought was very good ...suddenly looked ...very ordinary ...galaxy s is superb phone...
i just want one..my first samsung phone....

The biggest demographic for iPhone owners are people in their 20s and 30s, not teens! You may be confusing it with the iPod Touch. And then you say most iPhone users are dumb and don't have good jobs..then how the hell can they afford the iPhone??!
I agree, some iPhone users are teens with wealthy parents who just want to look cool. And anyway, what's wrong with that? But in any case, that's only some iphone owners. Most iphone owners want a phone that gives them a superb user experience, is easy to use, looks good and has quality features. Most iphone users don't really need every single feature imaginable in a cellphone and they don't really spend all their time customizing their phone. After all, it's just a phone! Most iphone users have PC's (duh), many have digital cameras and yes we have radios in our homes and cars so we don't really need them in our phones!
The reason why Android users have a reputation of being geeks and nerds is because they spend so much time talking about the config and specs of their phones that they forget about just enjoying their phone and the user experience. And I'm not saying all Android users are nerds. Haha..many iphone users can be quite geeky as well. I admit, I have jailbroken my iPhone (a very easy procedure) and I love all the things I can do with it.
The fact that you are insulting people who have iphones really says a lot about you. iphone users are not leaders?! I happen to have a great position in my job and I use the iPhone. I am certainly not dumb and I use the iPhone. I used to have a Nokia E71 which is not exactly a phone for "dumb" people. Yes, I disapprove of how Steve Jobs handled things, but I use the iPhone! Yes, Apple does a lot of marketing but isn't that a good thing? Maybe if Samsung invested even a fraction in marketing, they would be more successful!
I think Android phones are great. But yes, I decided to buy the iPhone 4 and I love it.

ok i am neither and iphone 4 hater or samsung galaxy s hater i just wanna know the differences.
sure iphone 4 has a good design and cool apps a front camera with led flash
and user friend ios which apple lock on it(no freedom)
and perfect audio quality.
galaxy s alot of freedom, user friendly os sleep finish also an app store
widgets front camera better graphics chip more bettery stand by ect
differences would be personal preference no?
but for those who consider each phones i really want to know the audio quality in detail for people who used both galaxy and ipone 4 since people since i am a serious audiopphile i dont find the gsm arena review in audio quality useful unless i hear other peoples opinions.
freedom can be changed in ios although it can be a real hassle (jailbreaking ect) maybe when froyo on galaxy s comes out it will be obsolete(yes im digging the android os more then the ios)
in the end of the day someone will make froyo on iphone 4 and then it will turn the tides

After I've read the review, I think Samsung Galaxy S wins over iPhone4 both on functionality and most especially price. Here in the Philippines, Galaxy S costs 1/3 of the iPhone4's price! It would be great to have the iPhone4 because it's a lot more pleasing to the eyes due to it's form and make but as a mobile user, I care more about what the phone can do so the Galaxy S' features more than make up for it's plastic casing. I'd like to have a Galaxy S but I'm more than satisfied with my Samsung Galaxy Spica. I am loving it a lot! (minus the limited internal memory hehehe.)

Guys, Many of us are still not getting it I suppose. Its not about the greatness (Or Not!) of the I-phone. I have not seen many people suspecting about gr8 features of the apple device. Its all about a freedom! Common guys we are paying a huge amount (I my country its a yearly salary for 2 labours!) and after spending so much I think we the users *must* have a freedom to choose or not in what way we must use our phones. Exactly here the galaxy scores huge and thats it. I still think the I-phone would be better but only with more freedom to choose!

I bought the Galaxy S and was hoping for it to be replacing my pixon 8 phone and ipod touch 3rd gen ( which is basically an iphone 3gs with out the phone) it is very good at some things and i was really impressed with it but the ipod touch is a far more polished tool when it comes to browsing, ebook reading, gaming, and just about everything else. At times the screen was amazing on the samsung like with viewing photos and watching certain films however for reading ebooks, web browsing to name just a few things I much preferred the ipod some of the films even looked better on the old touch the samsung is over saturated in the colour, dotty at times and yes its real black but can look rubbish with darker films. I think if money was no object the iphone 4 is a far better buy, even though I think the iphones are amazing they are very overpriced still lack an amazing still camera with a proper flash, and the screen could be a tiny bit larger now.
Couldnt get the iphone 4 for no where near the same money so all in all it is still a pretty good alternative to the iphone.

It's pretty much a one click install, setup, and you never open the app ever again.

I have used HTC Desire for awhile and found that the battery drained so quick, I think the multitasking on the Android platform is just crap...my HTC never last later than 1pm of everyday use! I was told to download taskkiller, why? Arent the phone suppose to do that for me? The phone doesnt get too laggy but the battery is just crap! Ive been reading review and comments about iPhone on this site which doesnt get very good comments and then I was just about to buy Galaxy S but I probably end up with the same shit again! So I will give it a try and buying the iPhone 4 instead... This forum is kinda like the Windows VS. Mac all over again which in this case Android is the windows full with spams and mulwares from all the free apps... Nothing is controlled.. By the way, 80% of Android apps are pretty much low quality due to low disk capacity... 2GB? that can barely host Navigon!! even if there is navagon there i think the UI and graphic will be so low in quality...

The strangest thing:I still have to see an iPhone 4 user in person. Before I saw many ppl showing off their iPhone, now... not. I want to compare my SGS with an iPhone 4 but I cannot find an iPhone 4 user. Why is that?
I'm a bit pissed off that I bough my SGS at its launch. Now you can have one with Vodafone who offers free unlimited internet access after two years of 19 Euro/month contract.

They buy a Phone that isn't considered cool by stupid teenagers but it's half the price of an apple but does more and better... these are people who think outside the box.
Apple users are small minded, usually badly educated teenagers, advertising fooled, insecure people who let brands think for themselves... Apple forces you into a network, it forces you to only use it's Itunes, and it sells you a phone that can do the same thing as the Galaxym but costs twice as much... the price to be cool is the price to be a fool.
You know what's the difference between an Apple enthusiast who talks trash about Adroid fans and an Adroid fan? The Android fan has a good job, bright future... while Apple guy is gonna live on a crappy job all his life... why? cos Apple boy lets the TV think and tell him what is cool, Apple boy doesn't think, he follows, that's why he will never lead.
