OKAY PEOPLE i have used almost ever single BEST PHONE out there. Hands done the iphone wins. The only reason why it wins plain and simple APPLICATIONS. The ONLY REASON WHY it is so POPULAR is because of the IPOD! anyone who knows anything about anything knows that. The ipod was the best MP3 player made. Lets face it IPOD has replaced the WORDS MP3 PLAYER and thats what put it on top and in everybody's hands. The popularity grew and grew. SO when the iphone came out people had to make a choice. Have a phone plus a pda plus a mp3 player (ipod) or BUY ONE DEVICE THAT DOES IT ALL the IPHONE!!! Sell the pda sell the ipod and make enough money to the the phone that has it all. THE MEDIA PLAYER WINS HANDS DOWN no questions. Because of the popularity of the IPOD the iphone CRAZE GREW. IPHONE was the best phone out at that time. Now we have your samsung omnia pros, galaxy s, wave, n8, lg expos, and so on and so on. I personally LOVE THE IPHONE and think its the best but I hate having something that nobody knows how good it is and EVERYBODY AND THERE GRANDMOTHER HAS ONE. The point is that the iphone is about the price of an ipod and phone put together. So of course I would make the choice to own one device instead of 2. The usability, practicality, and functionality is endless on the iphone. I PREFER TO OWN SOMETHING THAT ONLY US GEEKS KNOW ABOUT AND ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT AND THAT IS A PHONE THAT IS CAPABLE OF MUCH MORE THAN JUST AN IPOD AND PHONE WITH SOME PDA CAPABILITIES. Its a phone that can be modded. Oooo big deal I can put a theme on the phone. NOTHING HAS CHANGED ABOUT THE IPHONES OS SINCE THE VERY FIRST ONE. Oh multitasking which is not actually multitasking WOW. Video calling which is only capable on wifi and with other iphone users thats been out FOREVER and steve jobs thinks he's the one that made it up.
I could go on forever........
DON'T GET ME WRONG I STILL THINK I PHONE IS #1 for people that want something simple and easy to use and don't care about anything else. It just bothers me that I see old men or women (just an example) that owns this phone and HAS NO IDEA WHAT ITS ACTUALLY CAPABLE of.
Thats why a phone like omnia 1 was amazing you can mod it.
Anyone that wants to take a picture with a camera phone clearly should not even think about quality. A camera should not and will not replace a DSLR. Any photographer could tell you that.

Anyway there's not point arguing, when gingerbread (basically iOs easiness of interface, lol look i have a grip of apps, so much for user experience, for android phones) comes out next year apple's iphone will be dead second on the market.
Android phones are harder to use than iphones but have more potential, people who cannot fulfill the phones potential just go to and iphone because they don't want to learn anything, they want something as easy as a TV menu. Gingerbread will officially give this "noob friendly" interface to all androids, wave goodbye iphones.
Currently the only ways of making an android more user friendly than an Iphone is to install the skin called LauncherPro or ADW launcher. Hell if android phones were reviewed with that interface they'd get 10/10 on that "interface spot".
Anyway, android phones have already beaten apple's marketshares in the US (33% android / 25% RIM / 23% apple).

also htc sense media player is the same as the iphone one with coverflow and shit, same library and album selection layout, etc and it gets synced automatically, it scans the phone for any album or song or video and builds a library automatically...

Also, samsung wave and sgs have been announced months before the ip4 was. Talk about publicity and hype. And they have articles and videos all over the net months before its release. So don't talk to me about hype and publicity on the ip4 when samsung devices get even longer exposure. And please stop with samsungs credentials and what they manufacture already. Users don't care about that. Users care about which devices delivers the goods. And the ip4 does deliver the goods in high performance and style.

The iphone is such a fail. Steve cant even make a phone that has signal. I dont care how many other things it can do if it cant make or hold a call its fail. Video calling on WIFI oh great we have had video calling for years and no need for wifi you apple noobs.
Do they not have R&D at apple or does there R&D just think if we put apple logo on it people are dumb enough to buy it. Galaxy S on the other hand much better phone than this fail.
Android will outsell apple soon enough and then we can all forget about this idiotic phone and the devil that is steve jobs. I would even be happier seening bill gates try to make a phone than that loser!

And gsm arena can only try to convince some readers that sgs has the better one, but nope. Itunes makes lives easier for iphone users. It's a one stop shop program. Btw, you don't need itunes to transfer music into your iphone. You can directly download songs to your iphone via itunes app. No need to drag and drop with the iphone. Just connect it to your computer and your iphone and itunes will automatically sync with each other. Can your windows media player do that? With itunes, you can have peace of mind that your device and your computer are always in synched. And it's effortless.

Here in the US I can get a Samsung Vibrant quite easily but not the iPhone 4. I am looking for another one but they are atleast 2-3 weeks away. It amazes me how the iPhone 4 is a god of attracting attention. Whether its good or bad every one reads it and discuss about it. Just like this article. Going on to 400 comments and I bet you half of them don't even own one. You either hate it or love it. But sometimes you can't beat it so you have to join it. Thats what happen to me.:)

[deleted post]Samsung wave and galaxy s sold 1 million each in 4 weeks without hype and advertising despite aggressive competition from htc,motorola and apple so i say Samsung does pretty well and doesn't anybody, Samsung is a semi conductor so it lives on its own unlike the others who have to make contracts to access such technologies. Samsung cortex a8 is currently the best processor, that being said is also better than the a4 which also has the same architecture and manufactured by Samsung and the super-amoled which is the best screen in the world and only used by samsung.
