Too bad the people at GoldVish are a bunch of Criminals. It's the only brand on this list that does not deserve to be here.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2010Why is the iPhone in this list? At least in the US, its abo... moreMaybe in the States, yes. In my country the unlocked one would be around $1100 (the only phone more expensive than that being maybe Motorola Aura at $1350) and it's mostly bought as a status symbol or girls get it from rich boyfriends, people like that, and mostly they can't even use the few functions it has (without the apps) properly. With the contract it's somewhat cheaper but still not enough to justify the price over similar phones by other brands. And also, GSMArena is European and probably writes from a similar point of view. So, over here, it's a fashion phone alright.

SOSmonster, 07 Sep 2010So many designer handsets you missed in his article, yet yo... moreyeah.. That right buddy. Iphone is no longer a fashion phone these day. And it too far away To be called a luxury phone since Everyone can have it if they want to. Im not an iphone hater (i have iphone 3gs) but in this arena, Iphone is out of the league..

It should be covered for all types of fashion phone. Only 60 percent of the world's fashion phone has been covered. But nice try. Try to post another review with the whole fashion phone industry.

So many designer handsets you missed in his article, yet you dedicate a page to the iPhone? There's nothing luxurious or exclusive about a phone that every man and their dog has.

Why is the iPhone in this list? At least in the US, its about the same price as any other smartphone on contract, and off contract its only about $100-200 more at the most. It's also designed for the masses and not meant for only rich movie stars, since its ubiquitous and can be found in the hands of struggling college students, suburban moms, construction workers, etc. I don't know how the pricing for the iPhone is like in Europe, but I highly doubt it even remotely falls into the league of the other gaudy bestudded sky-high priced phones you list on previous pages. Claiming that it has gold and blackwood versions is also hypocritical, as many phones from Nokia and Samsung also have fancier versions. The iPhone also isn't anymore a fashion phone than your average Samsung Galaxy S or Nokia N97, nor priced that much further up. It's the Apple reputation that precedes the phone, something other manufacturers can only dream of. And no I've never owned an Apple product and my current phone is a Samsung Wave because no one has it in the US and is definitely more "unique" in my part of the world than the omnipresent iPhone.
