josh, 19 Nov 2010I've seen N8's GPU in action, and it lags, lags, lags, so n... moreWho'll use a smartphone mainly for gaming anyway??? there's a special devices out there for this purpose (PSP, DS etc..)
although, even IF we want to game on N8, games need to be optimized for this smartphone for the best of both speed and quality, which is same thing for wave that needs games optimized for it.

Great as expected.
Bada OS and Wave series represented Samsung as technology benchmark and undisputed premium quality : from feel of touching the device (smartly optimized weight and materials quality) to responsive hardware that acts just exact way all handset users, fast and efficient!
I think S8530 will sell well (although inferior display quality compare to SAMOLED and all relative limitations from new to market bada OS + the fact that it's not that mysterious and yet to discover OS = probably it can't outpace predecessor's sales from time frame aspect).

Sails, 19 Nov 2010Well my experience is completely different then. I feel N8 ... moreNO CHANCE! N95 8GB was the last best handset by Nokia. After that I got Omnia HD another great phone plus it used Symbian. Now I have my Galaxy S sure its not everyones choice but I like it. mabye I would have got an HTC but hey Froyo runs great.

Sails, 19 Nov 2010In this price range I would definitely go with C6-01. Bette... moreI've seen N8's GPU in action, and it lags, lags, lags, so no, it's not great. Wave had the best GPU in town, but stupid programmers from Samsung didn't know what to do with the hardware. Wave have some BADa 3D and in game audio drivers ...

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2010What's the point in a bigger screen if the resolution stays... more
if samsung released this phone with s-amoled, it would still be considered stupid! Because basiclly it's the same phone nothing new.
So just imagine releasing it now with a worse screen! Gsmarena I love you, but you would you please stop praising samsung products? I mean come on this is the same as the wave and you know it! Nothing special about it.
They even didn't update the bada version jeeez, I can't believe it.

What's the point in a bigger screen if the resolution stays the same??? And where are we going to keep this brick? In a rucksack? :D And the camera has gotten worse too.

So what your saying is that this device is like the wave but the screen is now worse !!! Thanks but I'll pass.
If samsung wanted this to work than they should at least add more features, let's say an 8mp camera or higher ram or whatever. But making it the same is just a joke.

BTW, having compared the picture quality of the two through this intuitive photo compare tool myself, I can say that the pictures from Wave II definitely look better saturated and sharper. But, at the same, I think it is due to the difference in processing of pictures in Wave II. The pictures are sharp but detail seems to be be a little lost at its expense, and saturation can always be improved manually. So well, my S8500's camera is still a champion.

Would GSMArena compare the still camera qualities of Wave S8500 and Wave II S8350? In Eldar Murtazin's review, the pictures from Wave II seemed sharper, and at a better contrast than the pictures with Wave I. Can GSMArena confirm this?

In this price range I would definitely go with C6-01. Better screen, more apps and high quality games, OVI maps, great GPU and less price.
Main points for Wave II are currently the browser and AF camera. Will be interesting to see how fast Nokia can get the new browser out and if it will live up to the hype.

Thanks for a complete review. I like this phone a lot but I will buy first Wave in December because of it´s SuperAMOLED.
