HTC 7 Mozart review: Eine kleine Nachtmusik

08 December 2010
The HTC 7 Mozart is not the kind we are used to meeting - and no, before you ask, it’s not a music-centric gadget as the name suggests. Something quite different in fact, it’s all about the camera that goes beyond Microsoft’s demanding specs. Once again...

I have owned this phone for over 6 months now, and its beautiful. The touchscreen is great, and we dont carry a camera with us anymore. Battery life is not so good, but all in all, I am glad I took the chance. Win 7 is excellent.

i don't know what some of you guys are complaining about. i just got this phone yesterday and love everything about it! this phone is so great that i don't care at the slightest about some of the missing features because we're gonna get them sooner or later. the first thing that struck me like lightning is the amazing speeeeeed, perfect responsiveness and incredible smoothness (like 10 sticks of melted butter)! :) ultra-mega-highly recommended!

Well the camera samples are definitely a bit bellow of what I get on my Vivaz, but considering the better flash and extra features, it looks like a really great phone.

The Review is really helpful cause am in the profession, and took me off the terrible situation as i need it. Still i would request if at every feature discussed the technology types are shared in brief. That would be revision for professionals in the field and make the Layman aware of technologies in market.

                    Thanks

Mozart is the best phone that i've ever owned, PERIOD, i know hardware is not up to nokia standards quality wise but neither are android phones, but WP7 is so fast and efficient and optimized that i cant even look back, now when i switch to my iphone 3gs the user interface feels dumb and stupid, i'm serious, metro is a real winner, and its so fast, browsing is years ahead of my 3gs and zune music player is absolutely brilliant, THANKS YOU windows for this great product

Is this a serious review? I had a look at the pictures. They look pretty good to me!! I actually have an HTC mozart but never thought anything of the pictures, meaning the looked pretty decent. Today actually we took some pics of the same scene with my friend's iphone 4 and couldn't see much difference between them. Reading further, it tells us that the IE browser is great but the title of the internet sections is that it doesn't support Flash and silverlight!! Then it says no multitasking. In fact it should say no third party multitasking (at the moment). The phone multitasks perfectly for native apps, not 3rd party dodgy apps, but there is an update for that soon to make it less restrictive. And since when was handwriting recognition something so important. I had it on my old windows mobile but never used it. Windows phone 7 is on par with the iphone at the moment, but it's so stable and fresh and snappy, and will be very successful; Won't be visiting again this site if they only produced biased reviews.

So HTC _still_ can't make cameras. Can someone give them a big kick in the parts and get them to do something about it? I've been tempted by their phones but the cameras are so bad I just can't buy one.

                          Rubbish. :(

There's Central and South Ame... moreBut one needs to be tolerant of those who claim a capacitive touch screen is not for them. There a number of good reasons why a capacitive touch screen display is NOT suitable for an individual user. The current FAD is to go capacitive touch screen, but they will never serve all users adequately.

I personally found the palm Tx to be a near perfect touch screen hardware layout. the user defined buttons on the buttom of the device allowed quick access for that users most used applications. after that the large screen, slime metal body, hot swappleable SD card made for a very appealing device. the resistive touch screen and metlaic stylus allowed detailed data entry that I have never seen for finger operated capacitve touch screens.

There's Australia and the Pacific. There are many places in North America, too. Just because it snows where you live and you can't use a touchscreen with you gloves on, it doesn't mean touchscreens aren't worth it. There's a lot more world out there than a few snowy countries.

I always skip the whole software part when reading a wp7 phone review. Not because it's that bad but it's downright boring! Every wp7 phone is exactly the same!!

i loved symbian for years, but android ios and now windows 7 user experience is so much better. i gave up symbian for android, but the thing i am missing the most, is the camera! i could ditch my digital camera with my n82 and then satio. no other smart phone os can do that, *maybe, maybe just the iphone 4!) I had high hopes for this device (xenon flash) but this sucks! seriously guys, need to higher a few image processing engineers or something.

i got the ericsson x10 that is best of android world in camera department, takes great quality pictures in sunlight and rock steady arm, but thas it. slow shutter speed, crappy led, i mean real crappy! and very bad low light performance,

So excuse me while I hold my umbrella, my dog leash and a cigarette and try to take off a glove just to read a text message on a phone or find someone in a phone book... touchscreens just aren't worth it unless you have 3-4 hands.
